The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the team photos of the World Cup finalists. Or the action shots (put up especially for Cari) of McCaw, Kahui and Corey Jane.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

One of them the Ravenhill project Rava?
Speaking of which I noted on twitter someone asking Ulster Rugby if any signings where due. They replied in the negative. Strange.

Good work, Rava!
On Alain Rolland refereeing the Dragons v Blues match, it's a real shame but he's going to get stick wherever he goes in Wales from now on.

I'm expecting a lot of pantomime boo's for that match Stag. Welsh derby's are always tense affairs where the ref get's a grilling no matter what, so good luck to him I guess.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I was just gonna say that Dreamer. Some refs get crucified in certain grounds - Roman Poite in Munster for example.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Aye exactly.
Nige always has a hard time in the O's v Scarlets matches as both sets of fans are convinced he's favouring the other team! It's completely ridiculous really when you think about it

Makes him the ideal candidate really
I remember one of our Irish refs saying that there was a few years in a row he seemed to always end up reffing Bath v Leicester. He said both teams hated him
Last night I watched a DVD of the match I reffed last weekend. I still can't believe that it finished with a 37 point margin. It was acutally very close.

Glas would. He loves that grass chewing, combine harvester polishing, sheep s****ing lifestyle
Yoko Ono has been signed up for the next series of 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!' Show bosses think she will do really well since she's been living off a dead Beatle for the last thirty years.
Yes, but I hate the Wurzels. When I was in uni we used to go to the Football club for happy hour. The so called DJ had a mix tape that he played everytime, without fail. The Wurzels are mildly amusing, but that tends to wear off after a year or so.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Here's a question for ye. Does the fact that Ireland bested Australia make you think that Leinster would have beaten the reds in a hypothetical "World club championship" game?

Mickado, I didn't watch the Super 15 final, so although I know the result I didn't see for myself how the Reds played in that match. I'd want to see both teams' performances.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
To be honest Mick, it'd probably go with home advantage. The Reds in Brisbane and Leinster in Dublin are both very tough games
Actually, check that. Are we talking about Quade Cooper and Sexton on RWC form or domestic form? There's a bigger gap for QC. (both were superb in their finals, Sexton didn't decline as much as QC for RWC)

Just floating the idea, but I have invitations(practically unlimited according to my man) for the Sat of the Rugby weekend in Dec,to see Roy Wood, Status Quo and KIM WILDE in Cardiff.I'm checking with Asbo MC to see what he reckons, but Kimmy may just sway it for the Irish lads

After a night of hunting and warnings to local residents to stay inside their homes, Mr Lutz said a mountain lion, a grizzly bear and a monkey were still unaccounted for as of Wednesday morning
That's pretty much my regular Tuesday night.
