The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the team photos of the World Cup finalists. Or the action shots (put up especially for Cari) of McCaw, Kahui and Corey Jane.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Unquestionably yes. Any candidate who can keep his skeletons in his closet during an election campaign (when dirt flies everywhere and dirt diggers are paid double time) is a good man to have as pres. He'll undoubtedly keep any scandals in government on the down low and out of the media. Good government reputation = happy Irish folk = increase trade and diversity with international friends = speedy return from impending reccession. Simples.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Does it really matter about dirt? All people who chase or attain power, are, by defintion - corrupt.
It's just a meangliness figure-head, in a sinking Banana Republic.
At least Wales have a Prince. And a Queen. Bit of meanlingess glamour to take the edge off reality.
IMHO.

Anyway, regardless of what code this guy plays, all rugby fans will appreciate the verve, panache and style of this guy. This is 15 minutes of rugby as you just want to see it played-

What I can't get over is that is just one season worth of rugby. I don't think I could get 15 minutes worth of highlights as good as that even from my wildest imagination.

Michael D looks like the reverend from post man pat. I probably care more about what im going to have for my breakfast than the presidential election.

Bore da pawb / good morning all. Looks like I missed some good songs on the jukebox last night!
It's really cold here this morning but I love it. It's cold but it's sunny and dry. Beautiful weather.

If he is the best its best of a bad bunch. Not a clue who I'd really be happy to vote for.

You know Enda Kenny, do Irish regs keep reading his name as Edna? How common a name is Enda anyway?

1. Alright As, the company I applied for has a HQ in Texas so I was told I wouldn’t hear back about an interview until the end of the week. The recruitment agent said that I would get an interview at least. I’d be confident going for it, so hopefully I can just get my foot in the door. Been reading up on the Japanese principle of kaizen (continuous improvement) all week so I’m getting into the right mind set anyway.
Bath is off the cards for me though I’m afraid. My head is wrecked but I don’t think I’ll be able to get to any away games this season, maybe if we get out of the pool stages and have to travel I’ll re-asses. I think Mick is still game for it though, I’ll mail him and we can have another look at prices, maybe there’s another option…

Loving the weather this morning, sunny but cold and crisp and wonderful. Hope my day can match it

Ha, luckless. It had never occurred to me that it was so similar to Edna.
I would say Enda is a more common name than Edna anyway. I always read it as “bell” Enda. But he’s actually ok, gave some lip to the Vatican which is more than any other leader has done in the past, he’s got my respect on that one.

As, did you say Exeter is the place to fly into?
Just priced flights from Dublin on the Friday Morning and back on the Monday morning for €140, could be a runner yet!

Just looking at a sail and rail option from Rosslare. Only 70 notes return. That would be good.
But where should we take the train to? Bath itself or somewhere else in Devon?

Morning Regs......yeah Stag with those cool 'kids' in charge how could we mess up
My attendance at the meet all depends on whether we have a match rearranged/cup match on the 10th Dec it is down for a possible cup match so I may just have to travel down after that......would I go to Exe or Bath seeing as i'd want to drink?

Morning all,
Yeh was chatting to Mickado, the boat over could be a runner. Probably due some snow there so reliance on an airoplane isn't ideal you know.
Defo up for going though. Montpellier still on the cards with the misus although she went and booked Edinburgh with her friend for the week before so not sure what the plan is now.
worst day ever for her yesterday. she works for Aviva and they are letting 1250 go from their irish offices. and then Westlife break up.. not a great day for her

Asbo - what I'm thinking is fly to Liverpool and stay with Munsty for a few days (as he won't come to the meet up), then travel from there to Wales and get back up to Bath, maybe fly home from Exeter or Bristol?
This requires a lot more thought

I have a spare Scarlets v Munster ticket if a reg wants it Hughie. That aside really dunno.

Barf-Leinster tkts - Kia (8?), Gibbo (4?), the 2 Micks (as many as they can get) [Leinster's allocation is rumoured to be a meagre 1,800]
Exe-Dragons - me (sorted)

How come Munsty doesn't want to go to the Munster game? You're welcome to crash at mine post Wales part, and tackle Bath & Exe from there? Defo easiest to fly out of Exe if you do.red_stag wrote:Asbo - what I'm thinking is fly to Liverpool and stay with Munsty for a few days (as he won't come to the meet up), then travel from there to Wales and get back up to Bath, maybe fly home from Exeter or Bristol?

I can also keep my ear to the ground at work for tickets.
Asbo - I dunno he posted here last week saying he wasn't coming anymore. So yea there's an extra ticket going as I have two of them. That sounds probably the best plan. I must also see how much time off work this will require.

Yeh we never seem to have too much trouble getting the tickets in the end. just usually takes a bit of effort is all guys.
My Christmas party is on the 9th. I just told the girl organising it that I may not be able to attend now. she was not happy..
it's tough being the life and soul of any social events.. it really weighs you down
