First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the team photos of the World Cup finalists. Or the action shots (put up especially for Cari) of McCaw, Kahui and Corey Jane.

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

We're all grand thanks.

The son is off at a disco too although I'm not allowed to call it that!

I'm busy packing for him as he heads off tomorrow.

Hoi MrsP. Miss yer face. And your sweet, soft, lilting - Belfast voice. rose coffee cake

Stag mate... are you taking notes here lad? guinness

Pete.. Halloween. Samhain. Magic for kids and big kids. I love it. It reminds me of my dear mate Big John (LI man) ... used to have theme-bashes that were legendary. Food had everything to do with Halloween. Even produced detailed menus. No entry unless fully disguised. Used be fun. That lad could feed 30 people at a sitting and still have the craic. God I miss him soo.

Not a downer.. just glad I knew him. Looked like a big aggressive Cockanee bouncer.. (2 metres tall) but he had the sweetest, kindest, warmest soul. Gorgeous man.

I think its vitally important to remember and talk about people you loved. It means they are still alive. In your heart and soul. zen

Tell me about it Gibbo!

It was all I could manage not to walk him in by the hand and wait outside the door for him.

He's off to Scotland to try out for a team to represent NI in some sports programme to be shown in the build up to the Olympics. They have selected 24 kids from each country and will whittle them down to a team of 4.

We aren't allowed to go and watch which will be very strange.

Ah yeah, I'm chuffed for him. Just hope it is a positive experience.

They are doing some basic testing on the first proper day and then will send some kids home if they don't make the "cut". I just hope he's not one of those, or if he is, that it doesn't annoy him.

We are actually having a bit of a week of it on the TV front as the eldest's school choir were singing in a competition mid week which was recorded by RTE. They won and the final will be shown live apparently.

Of course, you know I won't be mixing with the likes of you lot when we are famous, don't you?

Very Happy

Ryan Jones is a quality player. I've always rated him even though he doesn't have that explosive ball carrying ability he had in 2005. He's a real grafter and is a great leader.

After Sunday International rugby will take a back seat as the HC comes on board but in reality I can't wait for springtime. I think the next 6N will be an absolute cracker. So little between these teams. If Scotland could figure out how to cross the whitewash then any of five could win it. And Italy could hold the balance as they are now capable of beating anyone in Rome.

Agree. It will be close in the 6-N.

If Scotland get the best winger in the Celtic League, for the last 2 years - on-board, that will help their cause.

De jongen is zo snel en zo sterk.

I do believe he qualifies next year.

The LOI is coming to an end. I'm getting a bit sad. Going up as champions could change that though. The rugby will take over I suppose. Congrats to the WeeP (it's probably been about 2 weeks since I said something like that, that's a bit long for the P family!)
