The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the team photos of the World Cup finalists. Or the action shots (put up especially for Cari) of McCaw, Kahui and Corey Jane.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Had a mate in the Reavaladatie Centrum in the Dam. He was in serious back pain.. it was bad. We used bring him in joints. It was ok to do so. It was cancer.

Well, first off you could just ask for a special dispensation to have a wee beer/glass of wine.
If they can be persuaded that it would be just the one and there are no contraindications then they might just allow it. Especially if you have a special occasion as an excuse.
Ask the senior doctors on their ward round rather than the nursing staff.
They can only say no!
If they do, there might just be a good reason for it in which case it might be unethical for me to give any further hints.
I have known a patient who had several friends bring oranges to her and stay to share them with her. We later discovered that all the giggling from her room was, at least in part, down to the Vodka her friends had injected into the oranges before hand!

Morning, morning
Just done the kids breakfast and deciding what to do for the day, need to get out and have some fun, but looking out the window it is grey and miserable here.
Ah, I'm sure I will think of something.

I had great plans for today but I am firmly at hangover.com.
Met up with my aunt and uncle only for a couple like, but I barely remember getting back to the flat. Have sent them an apologetic text but from my recollections they were just as drunk as me so dim probs
Hope everyone is well today

LP
I have always been a big music fan.
In the late sixties and early seventies i worked in london but travelled all over the united states with my job.
As well as making some great friends, I collected a hell of a lot of 45s and LPs. Motown, soul, funk, as well as rock, blues and jazz.
Have recently been getting very into iTunes. Amazing...! absolutely amazing...
though my missus is worried about our pension disappearing into apples bank account...!

Morning all,
Hoping for a small bit of rain before the match....don't feel like chasing after backs for 80 minutes!! Then it's off to watch this lot for the 4th time in 2 years:

Morning all, I'm in hangover city too. I intended to have a couple of drinks with workmates, wound up spending 5 hours in the pub. And amongst my workmates the Friday before payday is "Gin Friday" - normally i hate the stuff, but it went down well.
A mate is having 30th birthday drinks tonight too shudder.

Morning all. Long time no see. Went into hiding after my soppy post last week
Playing today for Risca against Tredegar Ironsides away. It's a winnable game, so hopefully we'll do the biz. Was meant to be with the Athletic, but had such a good game on Wednesday against Gwent Police and got called into the firsts as a result.
Just watching Scrum V from last night. Couldn't see the game yesterday, but I saw the tries on the RWC app.
Have a good day.

Best of luck Risca and Prop (if you're playing today). Enjoy your games Lads.
Afternoon I actually managed a decent kip last night. It's the first time in about three weeks I haven't been up all, or most of the night. Bliss! It could have something to do with the council visiting my anti-social neighbour last week...or maybe because Wales are out of the RWC now I can relax a bit.

Afternoon,
HEAD OK, DREAMER?
Wonderful weather ,still, here, chilly, ground frost in the morning, brilliant sunshine and 19c now;my sort of climate.
An afternoon of rugby, can't drive with a burgered shoulder to watch Agen/Stade Francais, so will watch the game from last eve,USAP/ASM followed by RM92/RCT live, then light the wood stove and slow cook a boeuf bourguinon on it for tomorrow's lunch. So much to do
still got problems with the neighbours,Cari?Downstairs or elsewhere?
