The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the life size photo of Thierry Dusautoir.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Puma - pub sounds good and they might have the game on there, no?
Afternoon all.
Cari –that’s not as bad as a previous manager of mine who once asked me if I would ‘train the new Contract Manager’.
I said “That would be the new Contract Manager who has just got the job that I also applied for, but you haven’t yet told me I didn’t get following my interview?”
Realising his crass error the look of horror on his face was a treat. It was almost worth that moment not to get the promotion.

Almost the weekend, cannot wait, am off to the Madejski on Saturday to hopefully see us beat Bath at home for the first time since the 2006/07 season.

Afternoon all. Just back from the toughest game of Squash I've played yet. I won 4-0 in sets but it was damn tough. Especially after playing basketball and non-stop cricket in coaching and pedagogy this morning.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Evening, finally it's getting a bit autumnal with a drop in temperature to around 17, and some rain;the leaves are turning and the cranes migrating south in big V formations;wonder if the IRB will fine them?
For those who know Loupa, she says, WOOF, and was taken to the vet's today cos she seems to be coughing more than should be expected from a dog with an equivalent nicotine intake. The guy stuck his stethoscope to her heart and said, in English,"Your dog plays Free Jazz".Heart all over the place but still happy to be here;I'll try and get it recorded and set Notch the task of setting it to music
Unless I win the Under Armour draw, I won't be in Belfast early November, just found out that I am forceably retired, and will thus earn -500 yoyos per month
apart from that, there's ASM/BO on Sat pm,and then SUA/MHRC on sat evening to go to.
So pleased that the international interlude is out of the way and we can get back to serious rugby.

oh ych, that sounds a bit gross Mick.
Sorry to hear about the forceably retired thing as well Hope you're okay
And I love that the domestic rugby is back up and running. Got 3 huge games coming up in the next 3 weeks and I'm going to all of them! Plus my brawd is back home for the Scarlets v Castres game so that's going to be great. Can't blydi well wait.

Evening all,
Mick(), sorry to hear about both the retirement and the decreased likelihood of making it to Ravenhill.
I have to admit I have been afraid to ask about Loupa incase I'd missed some terrible news. Good to know that you can enjoy each others company still.
Prop,
What news on the ankle?

Mrs P, I'm considered as being Permanently Invalided, and so the health dept passes it over to the retirement people, even if you don't have enough stamps.I get a full pension, but based on(many of) the years I was unable to work. The govt,so state, thus pays less;gotta keep Greece afloat, doing my best

In a lair normally. Also the collective noun for a group of Dragons is a Weyr which i think rhymes with lair.
Useless information there.

They've never played rugby in Criccieth as far as I know, Chef. They've got a football team in Llanystumdwy though, does that count?

You're in my neck of the woods now, Criccieth is my home town. I love going to Portmeirion too, my sister got married there as well. You can get there slightly quicker now too, they'll built a bypass around Porthmadog.
