First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing picture of newly crowned IRB World Player of the year Thierry Dusautoir.

Morning Cari/whoever comes in next.

Had my first CU football match of the year. We won 2-1 in a cracking game. Saw the second half of the Munster match up until about 76 minutes then had to head out to go for a birthday meal. So I send my thanks to Rev for texting me the result!

How is everyone anyway?

Good. In the brief bits of the match you saw what were your thoughts on Nigel? He caused a lot of controversy outside.

Amazing day, and night - fans and players together enjoying themselves in the pub after the game.
thumbsup.

Despite the scoreline, Bordeaux played well yesterday and gave Wasps plenty to think about. Our group should now hinge on the back to back games against Bayonne.

Morning all.
Prop I knew you were playing some great music last night but I had recorded the three Irish Provinces and watched them from about 9.30. Didn't want distracted.
Have to say I can't ever remember a finish like the Munster game. Great pressure but hats off to Saints for defending so well. I'll say nought about Nigel.
Hope Glaws can get you a result today but I am a fan of Scottish rugby. Must be the jeans.

Glas, I honestly can't see where they are coming from on this one. It takes away from Munster's victory and so an extent Saint's part in a cracking game of rugby played at such intensity.

I've had a t*t full of people blaming referees for their teams losses. They don't blame them when they win. As for suggesting Nigel favours teams because of his nationality and sexuality is just absurd. How some people think that's a sensible argument is beyond me...

Afternoon all

Watched the Munster game this morning. Awesome finish. Fair play to Munster, very few teams could have gone through that many phases to win.

Just cooking a roast whilst the wife and girlies are curled up on the sofa watching Wizard of Oz.

Laugh well that is one way of looking at it! There were serious positives from that game for Leinster, the main one being the attitude of the players as exemplified by Cronin more than anybody.

Hi all, Thomond Park was amazing last night - I've seen an amount of people refer to the Artymev knock on but what about Niall Ronans stupid forward pass for Murray or the milimetres we came from the try (the one that went to TMO) or the excellent run Denis Hurley made almost getting a try too. We had as many try scoring chances as they did. Ref had a minimal bearing IMO.

My own match today was a terror. Several red cards, a coaches punchup on the sideline and I injured my ankle.

Yea and they've 5 matches here in 5 years.

2007 - Munster
2008 - Munster
2009 - Leinster
2010 - Leinster
2011 - Ulster

You'd think they'd have got one at one point. However none of these teams has won in France against them.

Aironi stuck it up v Tigers I see. 12-28 is a respectable score.

Ah why not Stag? Other than the fact they are ridiculously, massively brilliant at home. And have a fortress mentality and a legion of incredibly loud, passionate fans. Other than that I, erm, can't see what they have going for them.

The away game we're targeting should be next weeks at Welford Road. I'd settle for a BP but the key thing is the team won't. It was music to my ears to hear Humphreys talking to the BBC about how disappointed we were to concede the bonus point, that we're only at about 50% of where we can be etc.
