The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing picture of newly crowned IRB World Player of the year Thierry Dusautoir.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Yes, although I think that his own inadequacy contributed to that.

Maybe becoming the England manager was a gamble, but he did well. Rugby needs more like him.
No. Part of the job is to deal with that Poopie. Everybody else has to. He was a one trick pony who lost confidence in his trick and accepted too many outside influences.

O'Malley in is just my opinion by the way. We could see Luke in at 13 with Carr or Kearney to the wing.

Johnston had to go. Surprise was he took so long.
O'Shea for the job if RFU have any sense.
Stag, I have collected the ball markers and pitch mark repairers from all the Golf Courses I have played. And some that friends have brought me from all over the place.

O'Shea knows his stuff. agreed. I hope he is next up for Ireland.
Mickado, I was just saying that to Huggy on whatsapp yesterday that I wouldn't mind seeing Luke tried at 13 and bring in Carr.

The more I think about who I would like, the more I am convinced that it needs to be one of Venter or O'Shea.

With all the hassle the press already give the England rugby team the thought of Venter added to that sounds ... ...explosive!

I agree with you Pete.
Also England needs to sort of discipline. Get a few steady heads into the team and ditch the likes of Haskell and especially Armitage.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Mick and Stag join the bandwagon sure God knows ye were part of Leinster/Dublin and Munster before they were big. PLenty room left. I'm still debating the possibility of heading over. How much will the FAI invest off the back of it though. Not a penny. We do play awful football and it could be better but the players have little confidence in themselves. I still don't like Trap's rigid way but sure what are you going to do.

We were considering it too Thomond as my girlfirend is Polish. Depending on where are games on accommodation etc could be on the cheap
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Stag, does the girlfriend still have family over? Could always be an option if you're looking for accomadation. I have heard it is difficult to get accomodation there ,and that there aren't many hotels.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Oh she does and friends too. In reality I doubt we'll head over but maybe.
I see Eddie O'Sullivan resigned from USA and has applied for England coach.
He said that although he's taking a backwards step in his career "you have to take one step back to take two steps forward. After all you can't unring a bell"*

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I imagine there's nothing going in internationally speaking in the US at the moment, but it's interesting that EOS has resigned. Is he taking time off in the belief there'll be a few club vacancies available within the next three months or so?
Not sure where he'd fit in. He tends to polarise opinion. If he ends up coaching a club in Japan that's him done for good, and I can see it happening, don't know who in the NH would take a punt on him.
