The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing picture of newly crowned IRB World Player of the year Thierry Dusautoir.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Evening all, just a quick check in for me, but if Thomond's left any PerkyNanas send them my way. Just as long as I keep any crumbs out of the scraggily blonde fuzz currently squatting below my nose.
A few good weekends of live rugby ahead, off to London Welsh vs London Scottish with Hound et al this weekend, Barbarians vs Australia the following one and then there's the big Pub weekend too

Evening all.
Kiwi, I bought 5 tickets for the game on Saturday, and one of them is definitely yours. As sent me a link to the LS website about the 2pm ko. But I noted that we might not be able to get in on the day as it is virtually sold out.
The bar at the ground should be showing the 1:30 HC game. So meet in the TC 12:15 - 12:30 and we'll stroll up there about 1'ish.

Are any of our London based regs about early evening on Friday 2nd December? That's the day of my voiceover workshop and it looks like I'll have a couple of hours to kill after it, unless I pay stupid amounts of money for the return train journey!

She had such a sweet, sweet voice Gibbo.
I'm just watching the scene in Darwin before President Obama arrives. Big day here for him. He started off in Canberra this morning and gave a talk about the "Pacific Century" (as it is called now). China and Indonesia are not too happy about the prospect of a US Base here though...
It sort of reminds me of those Commander In Chief gigs with all the uniforms, funky music... ha, they're plying a swing version of ACDC's 'Long Way To The Top... if you want to Rock n' Roll'. A fair bit of yahoo-ing going on now. Cringe Central but quite funny to listen to him work up some hysteria... he's playing to the crowd a fair bit and they can't get enough of him.
A big few days of sport coming up these next few days too.

Bore da pawb / good morning all. Dragons v Perpignan tonight. Tidy!
On last night's Penguin discussion: the rhyme in our school was 'blue for a boy, green for a girl, red for a rubbish bin.' I remember my older sister crying her eyes out because she was made fun of for having a red Penguin in her lunch box. My mum switched us to Trios, Breakaways and Wagon Wheels after that.

Morning all
Just reading back on last nights chat in here and have to agree Frozen Planet is the best thing on tv at the moment. Just an awesome landscape and absolutely fascinating animals. The baby guillemots trying to glide down to the sea but crash landing was incredibly funny yet sad at the same time as the arctic fox came swooping in.
Love the bit at the end where they show the camera crews and what they have to go through to make the program. Unbelievable, and I thank them heartily for bring it to us.
So, how is everyone today? I am absolutely knackered having not slept very well last night. Will be lots of cups of tea for me today as I prepare a lengthy file for court for a man who will be charged with a serious offence when he returns on bail tomorrow.
Just under 36 hours now until Cardiff Blues vs. London Irish. Man I love the Heino

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I didn't sleep that well either Pete so lots of on the go again for me.
I must remember to do at least my Amlin SG picks today!
Gutted I'm missing the 1st half of the Dragons match tonight, should be a great game although their pack is really, really going to have to front up. Scarlets could just about match them when we played them at Y Parc, but away they dominated us really. Perpignan are a great side to play against though, they love to run with the ball usually
And bore da/good morning all. Blueeeeeee sky here again today, beautiful.

Morning all!! Fair play this Gareth Maloney's next challenge looks good, working with shy/low self esteem to sing live and it's aired on kids tv to raise awareness!
This I may need to i-player jeremy vine tonight with the blatter debate that must be on!!
Training all day today unfortunately not at an affordable cost

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Thanks for reminding me, Dreamer, I forgot to do my Amlin picks last week. I've seen our pack struggle against a fair few visiting sides but end up winning - but that's been when we've had all our internationals playing. We'll definitely miss Lydiate and Charteris.

ha, morning Munsty! good night I take it?
Lucky - that's not a bad Dragons side really. I like the backline and your backrow still looks good. Locks and front row will have to step it up a gear me thinks. And I'm always so surprised to see Sidoli still playing, fair play to the guy. How old is he now anyway?

Morning
Hope everyone's well. My last full day here, and with my colleague (she's off tomorrow). We're going for dinner later and I brought in posh biscuits for the other staff in the building.
I didn't go to bed until one this morning. Watched Hunger. What an extraordinary but amazing film. Just don't eat whilst watching it.
