First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Chris Paterson, Steve Thompson and Jonny Wilkinson above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Moi? Cheapen myself? I just say it like I see it. This Ladyboy is not for turning.

Fine. Very hard to actually debate with someone who just insults Kidney all the team. Criticise = fine. Insult = not cool and not you #playingtothecrowd

I've seen it now on 4 separate occasions and I know you well enough to know its all tongue in cheek but every time now I've just not wanted to bother when the old "biased and cluessless Kidney has let his country" down line gets trotted about.

Oooh, get you. Im being serious. here. He's not good enough for my country. What part of that dont you understand? I am not locked into the everyone from Munster has to be protected by their own, beyond any subjective criticism - syndrome. Oh no. That kind of shoite has held us back years.

First EOS. Now this geezer. He's lovely. He's a nice Munster man. I like him. Just dont like him coaching my country's rugby team.

We are fortunate that expectations are lower in the year we are away to England and France but we surely need to be effective in midfield to be sure of being in with a shout of the championship.
I still think D'Arcy will be 12. Who will be 13?

It will be Earls, Rav. Id put money on it. He's a marvelous, natural, player. I predicted him to replace BOD by now - 3 years ago. Ive since changed my mind. He's a out-and-out winger. He's not the One for 13. Fitz would be a better choice. Not mine, but a better one.

AND, Bowe should be dropped. He' s way off form. Trimble is a far better player. Always was.

Trimble & Earls on the wings. Fitz to challenge from the bench in the 6-N. Et voila.

Cymro. Checked that link. Yah roysh. "Fun for couples"

Thats what they said about Twister, back when.

That game caused more divorces than anything else - back in the 70's.

Great fun though.

This semi is not a patch on the last one (and I only saw three sets of the first semi)

Lewis has fallen apart.

5-2 to wade now, wade has the throw for the game

Oooohhhhh Lewis breaks him, this could get very interesting if he holds his throw

Morning All coffee

I have to say the Irish regs debating the Irish team always puts a smirk on my fizzog.....and it was partly my fault this time I think... Whistle

I haven't watched darts for years. Used to enjoy it on a Saturday in the '80s when they played in what looked like a big very overcrowded pub, smoked two packs of fags and drank about 25 pints each per match. Takes some skill though, and if you get someone doing a nine dart finish that's exciting to watch.

Not got much planned for today...I was woken up by a torrential hailstones storm last night, and we've just had another one, so going out may be slightly delayed.

Bore da.

No it was Josh Navidi's fault for exposing Tommy, again. That's twice in a week he's looked disinterested. Let's face it any of the Ospreys wingers would have scored that try.

He needs a move to the capital...

*mischievousgrin*

P.S. If Cuthbert gets caps after confirming he's a cart horse I'll be very upset, especially if it's at the expense of Brew from the Fraggles.

Bowe will score tries if he gets the oppurchancities. I'd disinterested out on the wing, freezing and no ball! Hopefully when a new head coach is announced, he can persuade him to stay on.

Stag - Laugh

A win against Glasgow could see us go into the top 4 on Saturday, that would be an amazing turnaround for us. Tough tough match though.

Id say Dreamer the real reason is that teams will go into games against Scarlets looking to take them on up front. IMO there is more chance of beating the Scarlets by a few points in a tight match than trying to open it up and carve them to pieces. It'll play into their hands. Stopping them scoring is the easiest way to beat them.

It could be Stag but I would see that as being a mistake by teams just to focus on taht. Two teams that have really tried to take us on up front: Ospreys and Saint, and we've beaten them.

Sometimes though I think we get drawn into a forward orientated game (like against Leinster and Munster) when we don't need to. Put it through the hands a bit more and good things will come. We're just lacking a bit of brains at times is all, but at least we are starting to win the tight matches (like agains the O's and Dragons).

It'll come. Things are building slowly out West but I'm happy with where we're going. We are in a good place zen

Cymro - there's still absolutely nothing of it on the Scarelts site, the Beeb or the Pro12. Walesonline are reporting it but I wouldn't be surprised if they got the news of the Scarlets' forum Rolling Eyes

This is the incident (hope it works): https://2img.net/h/oi43.tinypic.com/684fwi.jpg

Rhodri Jones lets him go but you can see Matthew Rees put him down on his back (not his head). Think they both realise halfway through what was going on.

Forget about Rhodri Jones. Rees picked him up, turns him and lets go of him while still airborne. Thats a no no.

Maybe Rhodri Jones presence will be a mitigating factor and he will avoid a ban. But worth a citing if the IRB are serious about removing this action from the game.

BTW not calling for Rees to be banned. Mere lets cite the incident. A citing is literally just a closer look at things. This isn't a clear cut incident and it would be good to get the verdict from the disciplinary people.

I suspect he won't get banned. The WRU are in charge of it and he has 2 must win HEC matches and a 6 Nations ahead of him. Similar to the severe ban handed out to John Hayes a few years ago by IRFU ended just perfectly for the 6 Nations.

Stag I don't even think he has been cited if he had then we would have heard a lot more about it. There was no mention of it on any of the Welsh rugby programmes.
