The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the picture of Maxime Medard* above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?
Last Pub: https://www.606v2.com/t21314-the-dew-drop-inn-virtual-rugby-pub
* While the other suggestion of Owens, Thomas and Hughie had merit, I couldn't face having Hughie's mug on the wall

Rava yes this is practice for getting my story right for the Doc. 'Honestly doc it wasn't really my fault'....that sort of thing. Am going to have to be more honest with the number of bottles of wine per week when I see him next!

Oh man. I have a few people in my Life's history, who have influenced me to my soul. Attenborough is one. Bill McClaren in rugby. Ghandi and Mo Mowlem in politics.
Jacques Cousteau for saving Antarctic and showing me the beauty of the Oceans and why we must protect them.
And... some burd in 4th class who dropped her hand.

Yes I know I have been through that thread from start to finish and have given my opinion on it! Only mentioned it here cause has been mentioned in last couple of pages. And to be fair my post wasn't exclusively about that
And yes I know all about good oul Sin E, I don't often post here but read pretty much everything, just as I did on the old 606

ha I am actually laughing at the screen now Gibbo. I'm not anyone else sorry, I made a few ( very few) posts on last 606 and have done the same here. Got sidetracked there tho with Blackadder the Third and the one about the Pitts. What a great episode and a great programme all in all Has me in stitches every time

Gibbo such a great tune as are so many Beatles tunes, is mindblowing when you realise how many good tunes they had. If you guys get me started on musice tho, am not sure I will be able to stop What I was listening to the very moment I read your post is ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkaKwXddT_I .........NOW, before anyone clicks this link, make sure you are able to get past the first 2 or 3 seconds of country style guitar playing, after that it is amazing........having said that this wouldn't be my first choice tune to put out there but I do love Neil Young

To be fair I don't think the Madcat version sitting in front of some old fence as a one man band can be beaten, but I understand what you're saying ok so what about this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Jn6sUXwhxc Went for this version cause is more raw than his other versions on youtube but all are pretty good to be fair

Oh dear am listening to what I just sent and isn't great quality to be fair, if you want something more polished then this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukP5FTR-GdY would prob be better, and by the way if you were on your way to bed there then don't let me stop you! Let me polish off a few bottles of vino... and I'll make a better comparison!
Jayzhuz... drinking pi55 on the WACA turf by the groundstaff in the middle of the night? They even even footage of it. That's all we need... another controversy. Some Indian bird (no idea who she is) is very unimpressed. Welcome to Australia love!!

I have throughout my life really disliked poetry. But tonight, I realised that it isn't about reading it and dissecting it but hearing it and feeling it. This is called "Knock Knock" by Daniel Beatty. Incredibly powerful stuff-

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I think I got a clear picture... well, sort of. The high quality version sounds better than the first one you posted.
I was referring to the latest news here in Oz in that last bit. It would be like the groundstaff having a party on the pitch on the eve of a hurling match. The ICC (governing body) would be in shock but it's up to the local cricket assoc. to ensure it won't happen again.
Pity. If only that idiot (whomever it was??) hadn't taken footage of it and found it's way to the media... the party-goers would all be laughing and nobody would be wise to the fact.

Ok got you Line, although I still prefer the older higher pitched version for some reason. Assuming you are talking to me? And MBTGOG cool vidoe/poetry, pretty deep. One of my GFs lecturers does something very similar in Chicago and have seen youtube videos of him which really impressed me so will have to get his name/the links and let you know. His stuff is pretty similar and really made me think at the time
