The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Denis Hickie, Shane Horgan, Ben Morgan and Selorm Kuadey above the bar!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Guys there is a song I'd love to put on here but am sure most of you have heard it, if not this version! Only thing is that it is very very deep, as in extremely deep, but for some reason when I listen to it I can't help but listen to it, I have just realised in the middle of writing this that I kinda have to give the link but at same time realise is not like i'm saying this song is my fav of all time or something but my god is it deep, this my friends, is very deep! and to be fair I do love it!
Also, it's is by one of the best who died fairly recently! This guy believe it or not was a big influence on Dylan!

Monster.
This is the saddest and most beautifully sung ballad, Ive ever heard. From the best ballad singer of all time. Sitting in a Pub. Live Perfection. Class.
Dylan knew it. Baez knew it. Van de Man knew it. They all knew it.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
WOW, just seen last nights results I am delighted for both Connacht and Ulster. Connacht got into the HEC on the back of Leinster winnning the HEC last year. It means a great deal to the fans to be able to have helped a fellow Irish province progress. Some very proud Connacht fans.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Early morning quiz question;
Today, Ulster Rugby will become the seventh side to play 100 games in the Heineken Cup. Can you name the other six?

Not that funny actually, it happened in the Castres game at the beginning of the tournament. I quote from the ERC site:
"The Welsh club, who will be playing their 100th tournament match, and Castres will be meeting for the first time in the Heineken Cup and former All Blacks back rower Masoe is expecting a huge challenge."

If Ulster and Munster both lose, it's very possible Munster could end up away to Clermont.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Oh, sorry. I had to go to work!
The trick is that Llanelli RFC/Scarlets and Cardiff RFC/Blues share the same record. As you would expect with their domestic dominance and knockout record, Leicester Tigers and Toulouse are in there. Then the three Irish provinces round out the seven
In order of appearances;
123 - Toulouse
120 - Munster Rugby
111 - Leinster Rugby
109 - Leicester Tigers
104 - Scarlets
100 - Cardiff Blues
99 - Ulster Rugby
So we make the 100 this afternoon; http://www.ercrugby.com/eng/news/16032.php
Another piece of trivia; In terms of hosting a number of Heineken Cup matches, Ravenhill is in the top two or three grounds in Europe. I think Welford Road has hosted the most though.
