First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of John Hayes, Craig Gilroy,
Niall O'Connor, Ben Skirving and Jonny May above the bar!

Oho. One Racing dropped ball from going out altogether.

Lucky Blues. They go to Leinster now, we go to Munster. It will be very, very, very hard for Cardiff if they play like that.

I understand now why the Edinburgh-Racing game was so high-scoring. Racing are incredibly sloppy side on the road, they haemorrhage points and yet they can cut you open if it breaks up with some real class.

You'll have to do your "Norwegan Blue" impersonation more often if this is what happens!

Hi Notch, yep you summed it up, Racing is altogether a team that lack composure, that is most of the time disorganised in defense and yet can show glimpses of flair. a bit of waste of talent! and to say they used to be praised for their defense last year!

afternoon everyone, I really enjoyed the excitement and entertainment provided by this last round of HC. they should play the QFs next weekend !

Ulster

Its a weak, uncompetitive, League all right. Whistle

Stade, Brive, Wasps and someone else have a home QF, I know Scarlets and Exeter have away trips, but I can't recall the other three teams! And not sure who links up with who. So confused over here.

1 (ACC 1) v 8 (ACC 5)
2 (ACC 2) v 7 (Heineken Cup 3)
3 (ACC 3) v 6 (Heineken Cup 2)
4 (ACC 4) v 5 (Heineken Cup 1)

We are HEC 3, and brive ACC 2, no?

Eh? Edinburgh had to go one better than the Blues against the 3rd placed team, whereas Blues had the 4th placed team? Suspect the pressure was on the Scots, Cymro? Anyhew, well done to both teams for negotiating a group with plenty of potential for hiccups

I was talking about the Blues match Edinburgh had their own game to deal with and did it well.

Great! Yahoo

Guaranteed a semi-final in Ireland. Either us or Munster to welcome Edinburgh/Toulouse to, probably, Lansdowne Road.

Tough one for Leinster though! Could this be Clermonts year if they get a home semi?
