The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Rhys Thomas, Ben Castle, Andy Fenby and Bill McLaren above the bar!

Good move for Downey at 30 years old. However I can just hear the Munster fans getting ready with their "Downey should be Ireland's No 12" speeches

Did everyone hear Asbo just say I was modern and New Fangled?
Mind you, compared to him that's not actually saying that much.

BRILLIANT!
Even though Deccie’s decision to plump for a few young guns in an extended squad appears to be a nod toward tinkering, by the end of the campaign it will surely prove to be no more than a red herring. See? Even his herrings are from Munster!

Cari,
I was just out in the garden trying to put the playhouse back the right way up after it got blown away the other week. It's in a sorry state alright. Needs a fair bit of work to make it right.
What are you planning to cook?
Leek and Potato soup would be a good one!

Congrats Swanny
I'm impressed prop, we don't see many success stories with rehabilitating the young offenders around here. Most get invovled with Youth justice Schemes initially but then seem to breach their requirements and continue off the rails.
Good work buddy.

Is the Wales injury list actually a positive factor?
Is the Wales injury list actually a positive factor?
- takes the pressure off
- new players get a chance to shine
- may make Ireland complacent
- will spice up competition for places later in the tournament

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Farewell, but not adieu.
I am bowing out now until after the Ireland match.
7777 has a special resonance for Welsh rugby. Maesteg, the old Parish, have the number embroidered on their badge. In the graveyard in Maesteg there is a gravestone with the number engraved on it. The family of the deceased could not afford the mason and had to employ the apprentice. He couldn't do the figure 8 so instead of engraving 28, he engraved 7777 as the man's age. Some of the best Welsh players have come from this coal mining town, once a first class side in Wales. Recently three of them Kevin Ellis, Alan Bateman and John Devereux were still prepared to turn out for this great old club.
See you Sunday, and may the best side win.

Billy, I got into it in a bit of an unusualy way, was over at a friends place and got playing Madden 11, decided to check out some of the matches on the interweb and I was hooked. You don't notice the pauses that much at the actual games (I went to the one in London this year) and American commercials are usually pretty entertaining so it's not all bad. The team who I support are awful though, they have a jersey that looks like an ice cream

I've just made my SG picks for the weekend: I have France by 32, Scotland by 20 and Ireland by 13. I know that's how the results will go because I've been scrying furiously since I got home from work.

I said PS3/Xbox as they are the two biggest consoles that people use, the Wii is aimed at kids mainly, with some things targetted towards adults like all the fitness games they have. Mario Kart is a great laugh for all though!
