First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Tommy Bowe, Ryan Jones, Dan Newton and birthday boy Prop above the bar.

Ale cuppa coffee mug guinness cider raspberry RedWine Bubbly Run

morning all.

dog-no-tooth. Very Happy

i'll have to ask a mod if i can change my name. not yet though, i still have a few teeth hanging on i there.

i have to give the beer a wide berth this weekend. tea and coffee too. no sweets or crisps either. thats my entire diet off the menu. :-( and i am supposed to keep my blood pressure down. no salt, driving, sport or sex :-(

what is the point of life without beer, coffee, sweets, and sex? only work i suppose. funfunfun.

French media announced Perpignans signing of Tomas O'Leary last night but it seems like the deal won't be confirmed until next week according to an RTE sports journalist on twitter.

It puts a lot of pressure on Duncan Williams for Munster Thom. Is he going to be good?

Tommy Bowe chose to leave Ireland after suffering a similar disappointment at the 2007 RWC, but it'll be harder for TOL to catch the eye of the selectors over there than it would be from Wales.

Stringer will be back anyway Notch. There was a time when Williams was rated better than Murray and I thought he would be better than TOL. He is solid at least, HC level may be a bit too much but certainly Rabo level.

Yeah, if Stringer has another year you'll be ok. I remember Williams was very well thought of but then I saw him at Ravenhill in December and he was poor that day. One game isn't exactly representative though.

Have to say, I think its the right move for O'Leary. He's stagnated and his career is going backwards. This is exactly what the doctor ordered. I hope he does well, on form he's a good option for Ireland. Off form he's not, but people forget how good he can be.

Chiefs win 15-12. Thought we were gonna nick it at the death but were penalised at an attacking scrum at the death for not binding. Difficult to get a bind when the Exe sub prop shoots skywards

Headscratch

Newcastle beating Irish has not helped matters.

17mins to go in the 1st half, Worcs lead Quins 8-3. Lots of penalties and handling errors so far, Marcel Garvey is having a stormer for Worcs though.

Quins are probably the better side so far, but they keep throwing passes at their team mates' feet rather than hands

A Worcs player has gone down after stopping a break by Nick Easter, long stoppage while they get him onto a stretcher.

Penalty try Quins as Worcs collapse maul just short of the goal line. Quins forwards are getting on top, and Shervington just saw yellow for collapsing
