The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Tommy Bowe, Ryan Jones, Dan Newton and birthday boy Prop above the bar.

Bore da pawb / good morning all.
The last few mornings when I've gone out for an early fag, there's been a blackbird singing in the tree next door and another singing a few gardens away. It's like duelling banjos, but much more melodic and with no connotations of buggery.

How terrifying would it be if they were both whistling the tune from deliverance though…
I dusted down my 12 string guitar last night for a few hours of playing, fingers are killing me.

I love the sound of blackbirds singing, Rava. It's the most beautiful song in the world.

I got a lovely 12 string for my 21st bday, my brothers and sister got it for me. it sounds gorgeous, it’s pretty much the only item I’d save in a fire. Really hard to play when you’re used to 6 string though, but it’s worth the extra effort to play Across the Universe properly.
Is the guitar in your twitter picture yours? I love a green telecaster, classic stuff.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Alright or what?
With a bit of luck I am out of here tonight. Cyprus tomorrow for the rugby and then back in the UK Sunday. My flight is on its way, so that's a good start. Be great to get back home. Tomorrow should be interesting as its my first beer for nearly four months. We are only allowed four, but I think that will do
Hope all is well for you all and I shall be back a bit more regularly soon.

Hughie, you provide some classic moments in here
Rev , be great to have you back. Missed your wit and charm. (Actually I missed someone to be ignored with).
Lucky my comment had nought to do with their singing mate
Mickado, I've witnessed in person your awesome picking

Rev! Safe home my man. I was just cleaning up my wardrobe the other day and found the NH Saints jersey that I got people to sign after the HC final. The most legible of all the messages was “your hero – Rev”
Luck, my first guitar was an SG, cherry red (was a MASSIVE ‘phonics fan), the only colour to get it in. it was just an imitation mind you, but it looked the part. Have you been playing for long?

That ballix of a driver sitting around for two minute cost me. Train pulled off just as I got on the platform , would have been on time if I got it.
Defo going to be late.
Update:- she got off for the train as well

I learnt when I was about sixteen, Mick. Just a book with the chords in and you pick up the rest from playing along to songs. I really need to start playing again. Maybe I'll buy a new acoustic.

Hweuh weuh weuh. I know a couple of lads who had remarkable success on those sites, every weekend there was a pants party and a new woman was invited. I can only speak for quantity, quality on the other hand…

Do dating companies do good business do you think?
On our Rugby World Cup tour we had two of our guests find love out there. They booked with us again for the France v Ireland game this year and are happily shacked up together now.

Morning all
Crusaders 19 - Blues 18, so a good weekend is guaranteed
It was good to see Eden Park with over 30,000 in attendance give Piri Weepu a rousing cheer when he came on for his Blues debut - at first five-eighth (sorry folks, I'm willing to call Northern Hemispherian #10s a fly-half, but not NZers). And even better to see his last-minute drop goal attempt get charged down
I know a surprising number of couples who've met through on-line dating

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I've often wondered the dynamics of it. Does the dating service arrange the date for you. Is it picked out of a hat?
In Clare there used to be a big matchmaking festival. In it is the biggest singles event in Europe.
First dates as a concept are rather unknown to me. I've only ever been on a handful. The rest have tended to be people I knew from school or college and didnt have the "getting to know you" aspect to things.
