The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Tommy Bowe, Ryan Jones, Dan Newton and birthday boy Prop above the bar.

Head is absolutely wrecked. Amanda wants to go over to Liverpool to visit family so I said I’d go with her, she just booked the flights, we leave on April 5th and come back on the 9th. Completely missing the HC quarter final. ARGH!!!!
Hughie, your tickets arrived in the post a week or so ago so your golden, I’ll get them to you through MickyT.
Really in a foul humour now.

And fat chance you are going to find a place in Liverpool that will show Leinster v Cardiff on a Saturday when there will be a Premiership action.
Oh ask Hound to recommend a rugby pub.

I know man, and I'm also going to miss the Leinster v Munster B&I cup match. Really gutted. I'm just going to do what any mature adult would do in this situation and sulk from now until we come back.

Ah make the most of a bad situation. I remember being the same way when I found out that the weekend I agreed to go to London shopping with herself was the same day as the Ireland v Australia RWC match. I knew that I wouldnt see all the match.
Saw 70 minutes and had the best days drinking I can remember in quite a while.

No worries mick, ill give the sponds to T as well, shame you can't make it, you'd think she would have some consideration though

I’m sure I’ll see some of it, I’ll be able to download a copy of it when I get home too. I’ve just been in bad form this week (in general, no particular reason) and this is another annoyance. But sure I’ll get over it.

Damn right it is Hughie. Must do it again some time.
I really think getting nicely drunk at times is a great thing to do. Had a superb night out on Friday night. Planning a night up in Dublin towards end of March!

I'm not sure Hughie can remember that day
It was a good'un all right.
Interesting interview with Graeme Henry here http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10787750, had France won the final the may have had a house guest. And he really doesn't like Quade Cooper.

Rava, please don't exaggerate it doesn't suit you.
You got ONE phone call (though it was very very VERY indiscernable)

Get on a train to Chester to come watch it. The ticket is cheap and Chester is nice and you'll get to see me.

Simple solution Mick, I can vouch for Chester. Hughie can too.

He has done that several times when he was both sober and drunk. Same thing each time so I know he's telling the truth.

Ah mate, that's a brilliant offer. I might well just do that, it depends on what our plans are. It's her Gran's birthday on the Friday and she wants to spend 1 or 2 nights staying with her Aunt (in Whiston, outside of Liverpool i believe) so i don't know where i'll be on the day of the match or the night before but if i'm in any position to jump on a train then i'll do that most definitely!

I see that Anthony Foley is taking over the position of Ireland Forwards Coach for the rest of the season. Gert Smal has an eye condition.

Actually what I should have said is Foley has the job for the rest of the Six Nations. Not the season.
