The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of
ST DAVID, THE Prince of Wales and WALE'S CAPTAIN
Happy St David's day

Well you know where we are Gibbo. Haven't put the tent up yet but that will only take ... ...an hour or two!
Prop, so long as you don't mind sharing the tent with the mad Dutchman.

Cari,
How long was it after Gibbo visited Cardiff before you could go into any of the local shops without getting strange looks?

BELIEVE! Must watch the counter-attack bud. Be patient. It is only 1-0 now with 40 mins to go. That's the way they have to think.
This is brilliant. I pray they win for you.
Van Persie to equalise. Wallcott to finish it.

Trying to watch two football matches at the same time is very hard, the Arsenal score is incredible though! hope they finish the job off now.

Yeah Hugs, they look like they want to finish it now.
But Arsenal have been magnificient. No matter what happens.
AC Milan at 3-0 down, after the humiliation of the away game? Arsenal would be mad to even question Wenger after that. Best footballing side next to Barca.

He is special. England have some brilliant young technical players coming through. At last. Just need to intensify the ground-roots effort.

Just goes to show you never can tell with this side. On fire. Now to get that 3rd Prem spot. Must use this momentum. Best football side in England.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
This performance shouldn't be used to mask the deficiencies though Gibbo. The fact that we are clearly heavily reliant on an 18 year old who has only played 9 first team games has to be a worry.
We have some talent in the squad, but Wenger needs to find the missing pieces of the jigsaw that will see us challenging for honours again.

Interesting sidenote with Oxlade-Chaimberlain...
Whilst on Southamptons books as a youngster he played rugby for his school, and was offered a trial with London Irish, but Southampton wouldn't give him permission to go.
How different things could have been for him.

Don't thank me, thank Twitter and Mr Brian Cox Tisn't on BBC2 Wales otherwise I'd have missed about it all myself.

The question is how can Arsenal keep hold of RVP ozzie??
They need to restructure the whole business plan of the club if they want to keep him. Will they do it to keep him??

They haven't done it for other players, but for RVP? who knows, would be a big risk.

It can be grilled if you soak it to get the excess salt out and leave it to dry overnight. Bit of a faff but it's worth it.
We used to kill and salt a pig at home. Then we had central heating put in. When we were kids my dad used to tell us the fat was white meat so we'd eat it (it was mainly white meat). We also had chickens and I can still remember the colour of the yokes.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I really doubt that Wenger will break the wage structure to keep him.
I can't see us challenging for honours in the near future to be honest, and that's not me being defeatist, it's me being realistic.
We have as good a starting team as anyone in Europe, but even losing 1 player huts us badly as the gulf in class between 1st and 2nd choice players is absolutely massive.
