First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has teleported itself inside Millenium Stadium this week to see if the men in red can manage a Slam. There's also TVs showing the other 6N matches, the U20s and Womens' matches, Super XV, the "Classic" match and LV= Cup action.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Mervyn Davies and Jock Hobbs above the bar!

Few (if any) international coaches put both a loosehead and tighthead prop on the bench. If Kidney had picked a tighthead and a loosehead got injured we'd have same situation.

Rovers were absolute shoite btw, why City decided to sit back when they had an extra man I will never know.

AZ could beat Valencia, Soldado is thier key playmaker but Banega is also a big threat.

You mightn't be able to watch this but if you can, go to the 1:32:30 mark. Have a look at the sending off, I may be biased but I think it's a clear red, don't know what Eoin Hand is seeing. http://www.rte.ie/player/#!v=1140896 Would be interested to hear anyone's thoughts on it.

It's going to be a great battle on the Lions tour between him and Dan Cole.

What I love about Lions tours is nothing is decided until the weekend before the first test and form on tour means everything (unless you're, spit, Clive bloody Woodward). So it's going to be a great battle. How many tightheads will go on tour? Three?

I think it depends on how big a squad they take really Notch. If they follow Geech's template and go with a smaller tight nit group it could only be 2 tightheads. I personally would go with 2 specialists on each side and someone who covers both.

If I was picking a Lions squad right now it would be....

Best, Rees, Hartley
Corbisiero, Healy, Jenkins, A Jones, Cole
AW Jones, Gray, Evans, Parling
Ferris, Lydiate, Croft, Warburton, Rennie, Faletau, Morgan

Phillips, Blair, Youngs
Farrell, Priestland, Sexton

Roberts, Barritt, Davies, Tuilagi
North, Bowe, Kearney, Halfpenny, Hogg, Trimble

That's a 35 man squad with most bases covered. Having said that plenty of time between now and the actual tour for it all to change.
