First topic message reminder :
Talofa*, afio mai** to the Leileifiafiafale*** - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Samoa because Biltongbek fancied cocktails on the beach.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of the recently retired Lloyd Burns and Peter Short; Richardt Strauss and Stephen Jones or the posters for "Stamp Out Racism" featuring Pat Lam and "Justice 4 John Afoa".

Pretty sure it was recently MOT'd but I'd have to check. Taxed until the end of August.

Think that one through carefully first, replacing even basic wear and tear parts like tyres ain't cheap. Is it from someone you know?

It's from someone at work, Swanny. I'm always tempted by this kind of thing. I'm trying to be cautious, but you know that saying about never looking a gift horse in the eye.

The tax renewal and MOT renewal are likely to be around the same time. Not always though.

Lucky sounds like a snip but I would check how much it would be to insure it before making any decisions. Also try to find out how much petrol it uses. They aren't that easy to run.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Beach Leileifiafiafale, Samoa
So, the sharks have finished their tour with a win over the Blues. Walsh was very poor in the Match.
Three tries were scored illegitimately.
Blues prop Woodcock falls to his needs somehow they manage a tight head and scores a try, then a few minutes later, the Sharks have an input into a scrum inside their 22, the Blues doesn't take the hit and retreats, the ball bounces loose, I still don't know exactly how that pappened and the Blues pounce on the ball to score a try.
In the secodn half the sharks knocks a ball on after lambie had a sniping break, only to see the ball bounce off a Blues player Daniels regathers after he knocked and the Sharks score a try.
The first try should have been called by the assistant, the secodn try Walsh was actually castigating the blues but still allowed them to play the ball, the third try either Walsh or his asistant could have called it.
Very poor indeed.

Munsty I lived in Birmingham for 6 weeks, it's not that bad at all, but then I lived in the student/young professionals area fairly near the Uni so twas quite nice. The city centre there's not so bad if you stay near the shopping centres really.

I think if you are willing to just use the car until the MOT runs out and then take the financial hit of it being too expensive to get to MOT standard then it would be worth a punt.

Mrs P if the car has already been through the MOT several times then there isn't likely to be a "financial hit".
Lucky I'm sure your friend would understand if you wanted to have a garage check the car before you purchase.

My brother-in-law's cousin owns a garage in Newport, Rava, I could ask him to give it the once over. Then again, he's a Dragons season ticket holder, so I don't know how sound his judgement would be!

I was thinking that in a 14 year old car an awful lot of big things can go wrong/wear out at once.
New discs etc aren't cheap.

Kiwi - I will never set foot in The Stoop for a Quins v Wasps game again. The Quins fans are the nearest thing you will get to a football type crowd in English rugby. Awful abuse they give us. The last two times we played there I've left at half time because of it.
I'll be at Ealing v Coventry tomorrow, and also trying to avoid hordes of Wembley bound scousers.
Haooy belated birthday Hound mate. The Quins lot can be particularly one eyed, but they loved me, Asbo, Hughie, Kiwi and Risky when we were there a few weeks back!

It'll be good fun. You solve puzzles in rooms to win a key. If you find a certain number of keys you manage to open the door and "break out" winning the game.

So who's up for going to wicklow gaol and make sure stag doesn't escape?! I went there years ago, pretty good building!
Lucky: looks like I won't get to the match, trying to save pennies so unless anyone lknows of cheap dragons tickets for me and the other half....
Getting my increment this pay too and I've had my job role taken to the directors with the aim of a further increment/more recognised job role so fingers crossed!!

Aled Brew has been quiet this year. I thought he was outstanding last season in Magners League.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Beach Leileifiafiafale, Samoa
It's true, Stag. I was surprised he played on against Connacht when it was clear he'd injured his knee. The thing with Brew is that he has such an understanding with Jason Tovey. He doesn't seem to play as well with anyone else at ten.

Rhodri Jones is strating at TH for the Scarlets v Aironi. Not really happy about that, would much rather we keep him at LH. Phil John is starting too, and then we have two TH's on the bench. Tis most confusing.

He probably should've been dropped by now. I'd play Harries instead of him and play Martyn Thomas at 15. Trouble is, Darren Edwards is a pig headed moron and won't pick Thomas or Tovey unless needs must. So we have to suffer Brew not doing flip all. I am still a big fan of him, but he hasn't performed for a while now.
Anyway, off away tonight till Wednesday so won't be watching.

diolch Penfro!
and yum, just finished scoffing my lunch. Tuna sandwich, tomato and basil pasta dish, pack of crisps, banana and a smoothie drink.
About to be finished off with a and some
I love food.
You know, I've got a lot of time for Darren Edwards. He's been talking about a regime change at the Dragons and getting over old attitudes. Perhaps Martyn and Tovey are those that aren't happy to stick with the new Dragons ethos and that's why he's getting shot. It was difficult for him coming in half way through the season,a nd you've got to say he needs the chance to build his own squad. Bound to be a few teething issues.

I'm prepared to give him time, Dreamer, but my opinion might change depending on who we sign for next season. If we sign Deiniol Jones then that's hardly building for the future.

Lucky, brilliant.
Dreamer, if his idea of his own squad types are Tuilagi and Bedford, he can poke off. I had a lot of time for him initially, but we have been garbage this year (especially at home) and lost games I don't think we'd have lost under Paul Turner.
Still, onwards and upwards. Least we have an easy run in to finish the season (tonight, Ospreys away and Leinster home). I expect maximum points from all of them
