First topic message reminder :
Talofa*, afio mai** to the Leileifiafiafale*** - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Samoa because Biltongbek fancied cocktails on the beach.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of the recently retired Lloyd Burns and Peter Short; Richardt Strauss and Stephen Jones or the posters for "Stamp Out Racism" featuring Pat Lam and "Justice 4 John Afoa".

As, there will be the 50p rugby bus service from opposite the RAG and they drop you right by tue ground. Miles better than the train. Bus is free on the way back.

Morning all!! Quick question: how much do you think props get away with at scrum time when there are touch judges? I reckon it's quite a lot but thought I'd check before tonight's match

And morning all/bore da pawb. Am feeling all this morning. Hope everyone's well?
We've got quite a few big earners leaving the club: Tindall, EFS, Strokosch, Narraway, Lawson x2 (likely). Plus we've signed championship players apart from Morgan and 0cowan so think we've done ok. I'm guessing Cowan'll be our player who's not restricted by the salary cap.

Prop - hmm true, forgot you had the likes of Tindall leaving. He can't have come cheap though, and when you considerthat you guys had to buy Morgan out of his contract and he's likely to be on a tidy wage now too, tis a lot of spare cash there being used!

Oh, in case anyone's interested, I didn't buy that BMW. I could afford the car but not the insurance. The problem is that I had a test drive of it around the yard so I keep thinking about it, it was such a good car. I'm saving up now.

We will have trains every 5 mins to Twickenham from Richmond on the hc final day. Were a good company like that and won't put on any engineering works either so it all should be grand however of we were to go to LS, then the bus is the sensible option.50p and only five minutes down the road.

Dreamer: there's quite a bit of money floating round with Walkinshaw jr now in charge. There were plans to build onto the shed but these were shelved which obviously freed up quite a bit of money. I think it was £100,000 to buy him out and that's probably 75% of Tindall's wages!!

I am well up for London Scottish to be honest, though I am more than happy to go with the majority.
Morning all. Just 30 degrees here in Qatar.

Bikkies,
Could it be moved to Lansdowne or is that a done deal?
Just think they could sell more tickets than there are spaces in the RDS depending on the opposition, no?

Not sure MrsP, i suspect that since they don't know who the opposition is they're hedging their bets with the RDS, also if we win we could have the final in Lansdowne.
Great news about Marshall btw.

How is the venue of the final decided?
Is it the choice of the highest placed finalist?

Correcto!
Posted this on another thread, maybe someone in here can answer:
Here’s a question. With all English teams out of Europe I guess they can only have 6 teams in Europe next year.
With a French team guaranteed to win the Amlin a 7th French team is also a certainty.
If Leinster or Ulster win the HC then Connacht are into the HC again next year.
I presume if Clermont win the HC then the runners up country will get the extra place but what if that’s Edinburgh or what if Edinburgh win the cup outright? Who gets the extra place?

Mick
If ASM or Edinburgh win the Heino it will go to the highest ranked side not already qualified. (Although not a French one as they will already have their max 7 courtesy of winning the Amlin)
As I understand it, the highest ranked non qualified non French side is London Wasps.

Although I believe there is a caveat on that in that all competing teams must play in the highest possible domestic league available to them, which means if Wasps get relegated they cannot qualify, in which case I think next in line is Bath.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Beach Leileifiafiafale, Samoa
It is a bit ironic that a country with no team in the semis of either competition should benefit.
And even more so if the team that should have benefitted couldn't play next season. What an odd set of circumstances.
Wasps fans everywhere cheering for Edinburgh and ASM then!

Without wanting to open a whole can of worms MrsP, it goes back to what I have said for some time in relation to HC qualification. The system is flawed and always will be due to the number of teams that compete and the fact that the various unions have different set ups and number of available options.

Wasn't there a similar that could have arisen scenario last year when Connacht made the knock-out stages of the Amlin?
I remember joking tha we could have an AIB team in the HEC!
Just complex qualification. Not sure what they will all thrash out when the system is renegotiated in (?) 2014?

Sorted our tickets for Ospreys away this Friday. Only 50 of us going (on the coach anyway) but it's nice of the Ospreys to have given us £6 off each ticket and sat us all together. At least us 50 will do our bit in the stand. Shame about the guys on the pitch.
Should be a good day anyway.
Kado, it's not that nice in this bit of Qatar. Just a crappy airbase.

Out wide? Left or right? If you move it quickly?
I've just picked up the file of man who's name is very similar to the subject of a Simon and Garfunkel song.
Cue the company of an ear worm and tuneless teeth whistling from me whilst wading through paperwork. I'm going to pravariceat now though, paper can wait.
