AAAAGGGHHHH all my depth going walkabout.
Dawiduik and Casson gone.
Stephen Donald can be added to the list also but will need a good offer and Fasival would need a top offer but is available as i rarely play him
Also add Szarseski to that list.

Hopefully we start younger guys in this game to give them a chance to see how they could go in SA.
We won't learn anything about the likes of Hodgson, Dowson, Strettle that we don't already know.

Re: Homepage
In order to make the Heineken/Amlin Cups more competitive in terms of foreign teams being able to compete with the teams from this league I am contemplating these rules changes for next season (solely for those competitions).
1. If a player is in yours and your opponents squads then they will be unavailable to you for that match and will instead play for your opponent.
2. A minimum of 13 EQ players in your matchday squad with 8 of them being in the starting line up.
I think that will make it much more competitive and make it tougher for our teams which is more realistic.
What are peoples thoughts?

Think its a good idea to try and even out the HC pete - only issue really for me is that if say you have 6-7 Leinster players in your team then you kind of lose half your team quite easily - maybe not let either team play them - say they are cup tied or something?

Do many teams in the game have that many players from one single other T14 or Rabo side? I will have a look at squads once we are down the 40 in July before making any final decisions.

Have quite a lot of Toulouse players personally.
Just think each side should have their team selected by another manager.

Re: Homepage
i think 8 starters is too much. i dont have bags of english players like some so would make it much harder for me.
i think you should pick the opponents line up.
for example if BOD, Healy and Sexton got injured for a month and when you got the Leinster team from the week to play someone in the HC you should put them in regardless.

pete - i havent personally got that many players from any one club, but just aware that others do. think it's very difficult to alter the balance of HC games as this league is so strong now.
not sure if anyone is interest but I've got Max Evans available - would be very good in smaller squads as can play in a number of positions.

stnick, I do generally do that anyway. As a rule it is the side that team put out in their last Heineken Cup match, but if big players were missing through injury I do put them in.

also, with squads trimmed down to 40, rotation will be more important so people wont target all comps and will most likely rotate in 1 or the other

Anyone see this year's Tigers v Bath game where the Tuilagi brothers keep on smashing Abendandon - I think Barnes at one point said give him man of the match for keeping on getting up!

Never been a fan but will quite happily eat my words.
Some players thrive on the big stage and develop out of sight like JD for pete. Just never seen it in visser. Big, great chaser but want to see him score in big games and defend well in big games.
Most people rate him so I may be being difficult

It's a big hit for sure from Alberts, but with a swinging arm to the head and he gets pinged for it and costs his team 3 points. I love big tackles even more than fancy tries, but prefer players who hit legally and hard and gain an advantage for their team that way. A good example for me is Fa'asavalu. That bloke is a monster tackler.

Summer tournament will start at the beginning of July and there will be 7 rounds (including the finals) of matches which will take us close to the start of the season. This is the format that it will take and I will knock up a home page for it once this season is over.
Format

- Top 2 from each pool go into the cup semi finals
- 3rd/4th place from each pool go into the shield semi finals

- All games are to be played at neutral venues
Rules
- No EQ player requirement, free reign to select whoever you choose in your teams
- No tactics
- Predicitons to be based solely on teams to give managers an idea of what combinations people feel work
- Predictions with comments to assist managers will receive £1.5 million bonus
- Predictions without comments to assist managers will receive £0.25 million bonus
Pool A
Newcastle Falcons
Saracens
Gloucester
Leicester Tigers
Harlequins
London Irish
Pool B
Sale Sharks
Northampton Saints
Bath Rugby

yeh I got that!
good opportunity to test players and combos.
To confirm, when will Int. players be missing next season?
When does tri nations finish?
Is there A.I's and do they include Tri nations sides?
We could only see full strength sides next season right towards the end.

The Rugby Championship (4 Nations) finishes on 6th October, so if your players are selected you won't get them until then. The SH sides are also then involved in the AI's so potentially you may not have your SH internationals much before December.
LukeLovesLuka wrote:Does it count towards next season ie. will new players be 'bedded in' by the end of the tournament if they feature heavily? As can we play players who are on int duty?
Yes players who feature can be considered bedded in as these games can be used as pre season friendlies. In this tournament you can play players who are on international duty as it is there for you to get a feel of where your squad is rated/not rated. However once the real season begins players on international duty will be unavailable.

Yes, predictions can remain open until sunday evening for this competition.

It will be matchday squads as the 6 Nations is, however it is entirely for you whether you are going to play a player who would potentially have to travel halfway across the globe to play in a game.
