The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Mendoza - the city at the foothills of the Andes and one of the venues for the inaugural Rugby Championship.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Rory McIlroy, Sam Cane, Juan José Imhoff, Eben Etzebeth, Jake Schatz and Rob McCusker.

Haha. You're a good lad really.
See Wigan came unstuck a bit. Didn't watch it though. Does tend to happen at HJ in the league mind.

True. There is a weakness though in this Wigan side when they come up against physical sides who can play at such a relentless intensity. Big scores against small teams are no good if you can't match up with the big sides. I think Wigan need some better props to be honest.

Yeah the Chef's Bash looked really good once again. I will have to make it one year if I can. I do miss the pub get togethers somewhat.

Nothing definite yet Gibbo. Didn't get a ticket in the first round anyway. The final will be coming up during my last year exams so... Plus hopefully then I'll be working to save money for a wedding I'm going to in Italy in June and interrailing in September.
But if people want to come to see Sale play, I'd love to meet up with them then.

I see the French press was less than impressed with London 2012.

Willy,
As I haven't been here much recently, I have no idea what you are up to nowadays. It would be much appreciated if you could inform me.

Diddley squat Munsty. Causing the parents no end of grief if truth be told. Reapplying for queens this year though I've probably left it too late. One or two more senior positions opening at m&s which I'm hopeful for. Aside from that the only big thing on the horizon is the lions tour. Friend of mine moved over to oz last year so planning a monthish out there.

It would seem so. Hollande was full of it when France had 3 golds to GB's 0 after three days (the 1st GB gold came on day five).
Then GB end up with one less gold than France, Germany and Italy combined.
Taxi for M. Hollande!

I see no reason why I can't go next year. I shall be trying my hardest.
I agree on Wigan's props, though they have struggles with injuries there. I gather Finch wasn't fully fit either which wouldn't help too much.

You're going to the Lions Tour. That is pretty damn cool you might see Stag out there so. What were you reapplying for?
Me, I'm about to embark on my third and final year of my course. Not going to lie, I'm actually pretty excited about the whole thing. I'm expecting some big things all around.
Morning everyone else. I watched 'Finding Bigfoot' last night. Has anyone else seen it? It is on obviously quite absurd and is meant to be funny viewing but man do I feel for the guys because if they are not actors, they really are being taken advantage of by The Discovery Channel.

Bore da pawb - off to the gym to be 'induced' later. First time I'll have been in a gym for 10 years
Has the older generation been inspired by the olympics ? Or was it the £119 for a year membership and the fact that the gym is across the road from the office ?

I've heard of the last three, Penfro. I'm probably closest to St Joseph's now because they've moved the school.

St Julian's is by Brynglas Tunnels pretty much, St Jo's by Duffryn (lovely part of the world, assuming it's by the school), Whiteheads is indeed Bassaleg and Hartridge is by lovely Ringland (so should be lovely too).
Having played St Jo's with Risca 2's and beaten them, they're not too bad a team considering.

She's grand, thanks. She had the op last week: she was really spaced out when I picked her up in the evening and slept most of the following day, but she was back to her old self after that. She keeps me on my toes, but I'd be more worried if she didn't!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Mendoza
Ah she just looked so lovely and full of mischief in that vid you posted. I really miss having a dog. House is not the same.
Naw man, India is a nightmare just to get people to react. When they do, they are really cagey on giving all the info about jobs, rates, relocation, terms yada, yada. I cant risk it. Also, for one contract, I asked them was that the rate for a month or a week. They said a year.
I know its so cheap there and I will not stop trying, but, Id need European rates. Maybe through IBM? I just love the people, culture and food.
This IBM job is 10 mins from me by bike. I worked there in the 80's and 90's. You have access to so much inside knowledge, it really helps with other contracts.
I thought long and hard about the situation, if I was offered both the Dublin and Dam jobs. If IBM Amsterdam offers me it, I'm staying.
I think Ive changed too much for Dublin. People hear my accent but think I'm really odd. (ok,ok I am odd). But, it would just feel weird, ya know? Its hard to explain the feeling. Billy would know.
However, if I don't get IBM and get AIB, I'm orf back home for a while anyway. I have a free house to go to. No Mam at home anymore. But Id be able to visit her a lot more.
If I don't get offered either, I'm going busking with Huggie.

He has! Fair play to him, he was there last year and saw all around him playing guitar and singing. So he said by next year, he'd be belting it out himself. And he has.
I might take up the sax. Just to annoy everyone.
This was Hughies song of the weekend btw.
