If we end up paying anywhere near £17m for Carroll to sit on the bench and for cameo roles then I won't be happy. Our tightness has lost us Debuchy to Real Madrid and now we are wasting money on a player who doesn't suit our new style of play whatsoever. If Downing, Gerrard, Adam, Sterling can't provide for Carroll then god knows how he's going to fair with Obertan & Gutierrez providing the crosses. Must admit the signings of Anita, Bigi, Good & Amalfitano have slightly disappointed me. Our rivals have jumped us considerably.

Andy Carrolls best move remains West Ham. He'll be the centerpoint of the attack, Nolan can look after him and he can rebuild his reputation

I don't agree.

If we keep hold of Cabaye, Tiote, Demba and Colo this has been a very good summer.

Bigi, Good and Amalfitano are good signings and Anita will be a good player for us.

When you think that our midfield will be...

Marveaux
Hatem
Tiote
Cabaye
Jonas
Anita
Bigi
Romain
Obertan
Vuckic

That's not that bad.

Granted, Debuchy would be a good signing, but is it really worth haggling over someone like that? I don't recall clubs lining up to buy him and we've got some talented young defenders i'd like to see given a chance.

I'd take Carroll back providing the deal is right. It would be another option up top.

There's still time, i think we'll have 2 new faces in by tomorrow night.

I agree about Carroll, all he needs to do is go to the Hammers on loan, rebuild his career, he should score a decent amount of goals and then have much better options next season. I still think Liverpool need him though.

I really hope Arsenal sneakily buy Dzeko, but not at the expense of Walcott. We still need a full back though! and a Defensive midfielder since Wenger for some reason decided to get rid of our best midfielder from last year (and the year before) ARGH!

Why didn't we go for De Jong??? unless Citey wouldn't sell him to us.

Everton are building a nice squad, it's amazing what Moyles does with such a tiny budget

Not really a tiny budget when you think he got £20m for Rodwell.

He has spent it well though.

He's still a good defensive midfielder and I'd say better/more reliable than what we've got (and better than Barry whose still at Citey)

I just hope we don't get forced into making a rash decision because of the countdown and pay £17m. The offer I would only take is a loan for the rest of the season with the possibility of a £12-15m permanent transfer in the summer. However it appears Liverpool want to sell now and have rejected the loan offer route completely. Two new faces would be good in terms of squad depth for europe. Who are the two though, Carroll & Douglas?

Douglas is a possibility.

M'Vila from Rennes has been linked. Carroll is a possibility, Tovianen?

I think they will spring a surprise.

I don't rate that Toivonen from PSV even though he's got a good record in Holland, would prefer Carroll if I'm being honest. Douglas has to decide between Fulham or Newcastle, surely that's not a hard decision. Can't see M'vila at NUFC, especially as we have Cheick & Bigi already there.

If he chooses Fulham, lets hope he turns out to be as good as Ruiz was.

M'vila i would still take.

Bigi is one for the future!

We do need a striker, and I will back any player we sign to the hills. I'm not gonna judge him before he plays a Premier League game, because you do never know. I mean I don't think any Norwich fans would have thought Holt and Morison would have scored as many as they did last season. But going off what CMS has done in the Championship, he doesn't seem to have the quality for the Premier League. But you do never know

Kaboul is out for four months, can see Dawson staying until at least January now as cover.

I wouldn't say so GSC, they still look horribly weak in midfield after losing Dembele, Etuhu, Murphy and probably Dempsey.
