Murphy was getting past it a bit tbh. Etuhu is nice but not overly unreplacable. Dembele and Dempsey hurt, but Berbatov is a quality player. Ruiz is similarly class

Losing four players in one position is never good for a club though. I don't think Murphy was past it at all, I thought he was one of Fulham's best players last year as his simple passing game allowed the more creative players to do their thing.

Murphy may only have been able to play 60 odd minutes per game, but ask any Fulham fans and they became a worse team when he went off the field.

They won't go down, but they have lost a lot of talent. Dembele especially

Replacing him with Pablo Hernandez with money to spare is good enough for Swansea I think. They signed Michu for £2 million so I can see them getting two good players out of the deal.

They might not sign anybody this window, but can invest that money in January or next summer.

It's pretty much a done deal, I think they were waiting for Sinclair deal to go through first.

I see, great news for Swansea - I love the way they've set up the club and the way they're building sustainably for the future - making and improving players rather than blowing all their budget on 1 or 2 superstars. Plus they play a great brand of football.

Pablo Hernandez to Swansea done deal.

Looked superb a few years back but has lost his way in recent years. Think he needed a move away and a fresh start. Think Laudrop can get the best out of him and could be a bargain if he performs to the level he did a few years back.

I'll update this after the deadline. So far, additions to the table include:

Maicon (might be past it but it he was the best RB in Europe at one point)
Gaston Ramirez when it goes through
Hugo Lloris when it goes through
Javi Garcia when it goes through

Anything else?

Nothing's really happening at the moment that's exciting but one bit of business close to completion is PSG buying Gregory Van Der Wiel for £4.5m.......Cheap!

Amazing that Debuchy & Van Der Wiel have passed through many EPL clubs fingers this window.
