First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to the Moon, in honour of the late Neil Armstrong. One small step for man ...
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Lance Armstrong in yellow, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin moonwalking, or the shot of Joe Ansbro breaking the line.

DOC got a lot of stick last season, a lot of it was deserved, some of it not but he was simply outstanding in that second half. He led from the front in a team with some young players. He won't give up his spot without a fright. He made a crucial turnover and soem massive tackles. He was unreal. Well done DOC and Munster, we make hard work of it but entertainment all round!

Really enjoyed that. Have watched three good games of rugby today. Only if I had seen the Wasps Quins but I'm happy.

Passing out of the tackle. That's what the Scarlets did so well today, turning breaks into tries. Some players will look to go to ground, especially if their coaches are obsessed with 'phases'; but although it's risky, I'd much rather watch a side trying to play some football.

Ye were ruthless in all facets. Leinster-esque in fact. No mercy. Great to watch, but hard to take.
Ye feicin mullered us!
Gibbo! was in the car on the way back and signal went so couldn't comment any more.
Got to say, I'm a bit confused on how to feel.
1: ecstatic. Can't remember the last time we scored 7 tries. Really over the moon about that. and we didn't do the usual Scarlets/Wales thing of conceding right after we scored. I also think I want Aaron Shinglers' babies. And Georgie scored twice! Can't remember the last time he scored for us. So happy for him. And our passing was beaaautiful. Loved it.
2. A bit annoyed. We shouldn't have let Leinster get 20 points on the board, if I'm being honest they didn't play well enough for it (sorry if that sounds harsh! I am chuffed Madigan got a try though, he was easily one of your best players). It's annoying we let you guys in for two tries, it's also a worry our scrum struggled at times when we were up against your 2nd string.
Still to get a bit of an objective view on this, we hadn't beaten you for 3 years and last season your second team beat our first team 15 - 10, so to come out 45-20 winners is just incredible for us.
The terracing was bouncing. I found my usual spot, had great banter and catch ups with all the regs there. Tis so weird but in a way it's like going home. It's Y Parc. It's where I should be to watch my team. I loved it.
P.S Toner looked on great form for you guys, v v impressed by him. Have a word with your wingers though, they looked like they were going to wet themselves whenever Georgie ran at them.

+1
it was blydi amazing to watch. The try scored by Sanjay's breakaway out of our 22 and then Shingler's supporting break and pop pass out the back of his hand was fandabydozy. Amazing to watch it live. (I think Fenby finished that one off)

Don't worry RD, we'll get Zebo to make George Tuaisceart look shoite again on November 25th. In other news 3 fellas I helped coach made the Munster underage team the other night. Great for the team.

ha, so do I Lucky!!
Nice one on the people you coach T
Hope Gareth Maule is okay, nasty accidental clash of heads with Foxy at the end of the game.
I was so impressed with Aled Thomas. his defence has improved massively. Thinking perhaps we wont miss Stevo as much as I thought.

Hear Hear. I love watching it, even when its hurting us. I just love the intent. Weird eh? I love sexhy rugby. And Scarlets are in the top pile in the NH for that. Their offloading and passing (in and out of the tackle) not to mention spatial-awareness - was sublime as a unit. Has to be said.

Gibbo, it's why France have always been my second national side, they always look to have a man on the shoulder of the ball carrier. Not literally of course, that would just slow him down.
West Ham are showing how you use a big centre forward. Andy Carroll will be in his element down there.

ha again Lucky that's a +1 tis always why I've liked France too.
I have thought of another worry. bit disappointed with Scarlets' conditioning, far too many going down with cramp for the first match of the season. Still things to work on, onwards and upwards.
for all the winners and losers this weekend.

We could have done with Stevo playing today. The chargedown of NR's woefully slow kick in our 22 really let Quins back into the game, and gave them a sniff.
They didn't take their foot of our throat after that. We were playing so well with ball in hand and then decided to kick possession away, which Quins ran back to good effect every time. A daft penalty at a scrum in the last two minutes to gift Quins the win was a desperate end to a poor last 30 minutes from Wasps.
Still gutted that we didn't get a penalty at the end when Wade looked to be tackled before he had the ball.
Dai Young needs to sort out the fitness levels, but our back row and back line were very good today.

Jesus saw the score there, Murray made hard work of an average enough opponent! He has the talent, just feicing believe in himself like. Olympics don't mean a lot anyway but he showed he can beat the big guns in a 5 setter and that means so much more.

Gibbo - I was literally bouncing. You guys were still tough though, still got loads to build from that. Toner and Madigan are class, and your forwards really made us fight for it, especially the first half. Just a really great match to watch (obvs more so from a Scarlets pov).
Just good rugby.
Plus, ha the ref shouting in the terracing I think I've actually missed it.... I love my one eyed Scarlets brethren

Walter Becker on guitar?
That's magic though, Gibbo. How do you come up with a song like that? It's not a hummable tune, did they start with the groove? Geniuses.

Apart from three rows of pi$$ed up student idiots in front of us in fancy dress who were standing up and shouting at each other, and trying to start Mexican waves. They were totally oblivious to the fact that most people wanted to watch the rugby.
They copped a few choice words from me and Andy. One particular eejit was told "Sit down you gold plated *rsehole". To be fair the girls with them kept reminding them that most people were trying to watch the game, and telling them to sit down.
It will probably be the last DH I go to because of the antics of these tools.

Now, I wonder who said that then? Not me mate Ound? Nah. He's far too polite for dat kinda ting Ted.
Pal, phhoke de assholes. Dont let them spoil yer gig. I think the Wembley double-headers are the way to go my man. Great excitement and great play has ensued. And now the Welsh have followed the English lead and I think its a great idea for them to help evolve the regions. Believe.
P.S. Wasps were frightening for the 1st 50 or mins today. Shades of what's to come? Need to get fitter and more ruthless as a unit. On that display, we'll be seeing ye lot back in the HC, where ye belong, soon. Great to see man. Ye rocked

Ha! Nah Dreamer, he asked me if I was goin. I said yeah. So the Chiefs have been dismissed, like Munster - for his real team. I'll learn im yet.
We will be mostly lookin for a double-room with a trouser-press in it. After that, we dont really care what its like. We're not fussy.

Thom, today we had to have uncontested scrums, so I was up front. Tight head. I didn't want to play there as I'm a 5.5 really, but helped my team out. My try was a bit something of nothing. I chased a kick to smash a guy into touch from the 22 and he tried watching the ball out and I dived in front of him. Still, it was technically a 22 metre run in for a "prop"
Cheers for the congrats guys. The only thing that was a bit sad for me was my parents are on holiday, so my dad missed it. Still made his day with a call saying try scorer, then Seren Y Gem

She enjoyed it yeah. She's been quite a few times now. Her first game was a defeat to the Blouse when Martyn Thomas broke his leg first time, so after that I was a bit tentative taking her back.
Morning all. Pretty buckled up today. Off to CCS to watch Cardiff City v Wolves. First time going to watch the Bluebirds (Red Dragons), so should be good.

Morning Billy.
As I don't know what it is. It was at the bottom of my posting box, so I tried it. I have no clue what it is meant to do, bar I've rolled a 7 then an eight.
