The Hillsborough Memorial Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Liverpool
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Liverpool in honour of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster, who may finally receive justice.
We are also mourning the sudden loss of Nevin Spence, his father Noel and brother Graeme, who died tragically at their farm in Hillsborough, Co. Down yesterday.
We offer our thoughts and deepest sympathies to his sisters Emma (who remains in a stable condition in hospital), Laura, their mother Essie, family and all friends and fans of the Ulster Rugby community.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Andy Murray, Craig Newby and Delme Thomas.

Yeah, it's not bad Munsty. Argentina are mullering the Wallaby scrum.
Arg kick a penalty deep into Wallaby territory, but 'not straight' at the line out.

Well at least Argentina have shown they are no easy beats. They need to develop though as a team into a more complete team over the next couple of seasons.

It really should be just 30 seconds to kick the goal from the time of being awarded!

All right - sounds like a lovely afternoon in London. Good way to to spend it too. It's dry here but very cloudy and dull. I've had to start putting the heating on too and it's a bit chilly.

Munsty, this is Murray's pre season you don't necessarily exepct a great performance but you expect progression. He didn't show that and is still making the same dumb errors. Am I harsh probably, I'm right on ROG though.
How are we all today, we were doing a backs interchanging with forwards today ended up at outhalf and centre for the first time since U-13s!

No, backs were defending as usual or in the rucks just gettign the balance right and interchanging between the 2. Our forwards can play as backs. All got good speed and great hands. Our backs however cannot play as forwards. Was just rucks and backs play.

A shame it's a bit dull (weather wise) in Cardiff, Cari. And, aye, we are heading into the expensive season as far as the heating bills go.
Got Wuss v Glaws on here. 3-6 and not a great game. Andy Goode is grubber kicking most of the Wuss possession. Memo to AG - the backs outside you are better than you.

Back home from another great night out in Belfast. Met up with Notch and his dad before the game and then were joined by Rodders and Mrs (not) Rodders who stayed in the same Hotel as Stag and myself. Great Craic in the pub after.
It was also great to speak to Mr and Master P. have to say Master P has sprouted inches since I last saw him. What are you feeding him Mrs P? Also he is no longer a boy but fast becoming a very handsome young man who will have the girlies chasing' him for sure.
As ever Stag was excellent company and I am already looking forward to the return in Limerick in December.

Scarlets opening them up at will now. Liam Williams in with a lovely side-step. Priestland misses conv. Connacht defence not the best though. 8-17. I fear for them here. They haven't seen the ball in the 2nd-half.

Connacht pushing hard for the Scarlets try-line. Breakaway try Edwards. Heartbreak for Connacht. 11-24.
TBP for Scarlets. No LBP for Connacht. Scarlets had a great 2nd half, in fairness. But Connacht really need to defend a lot better than that.
Just got a text from Seorse agus Michelle in Treviso. Having a nice time and on the way to the game. Said the town was beautiful.

Congrats Hound buddy. From what I heard it was a fairly even first 40 and then you guys pretty much blew us away, that sound about right?
I reckon you boys could surprise a few this season if you keep key men fit and Young doesn't kill you with some random selections.

Well done on the win , and bad luck Ozzy
Well done to Scarlets, but Connacht were very naive at times, especially in defence. Mind you Scarlets handling at times was sublime and a joy to watch.
Just watched a bit of Currie Cup. Good open rugby and a win for the Golden Lions.

Re: The Hillsborough Memorial Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Liverpool
Disappointed with our result and start to the season, but yesterday I caught 2 burglars who had travelled from Newcastle to Surrey to burgle houses. Caught them in the act of burgling one, then after arresting them we found their car full of stolen property from another burglary where we were able to reunite the elderly couple with their laptop, jewellery and sentimental items. They were almost in tears when we told them that we had found there stuff. Having finished work at 5 this morning, the 2 burglars right about now are being booked into their rooms at HMP!
I shan't lose too much sleep over the Irish result tonight I don't think. Would love to see us win a game soon, but perspective is a wonderful thing sometimes.
Love you all peeps.
I'm off to pick the wife up from work, then get back and eat home made chilli, drink a beer and curl up on the sofa with her watching shoite tv as we've barely seen each other this week due to work. Have a grand evening everyone, chat to you all soon and this round is on me.

Sweet jeebus, this Treviso side are playing like Leinster man. Lovely flowing attacks. This half is most definitely theirs.
Our lads had want to wake up here. Most of them on their 1st game and it shows. Mon Leinster!
We're a 2nd half side anyway.
