The Hillsborough Memorial Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Liverpool
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Liverpool in honour of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster, who may finally receive justice.
We are also mourning the sudden loss of Nevin Spence, his father Noel and brother Graeme, who died tragically at their farm in Hillsborough, Co. Down yesterday.
We offer our thoughts and deepest sympathies to his sisters Emma (who remains in a stable condition in hospital), Laura, their mother Essie, family and all friends and fans of the Ulster Rugby community.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Andy Murray, Craig Newby and Delme Thomas.

Noooooooooo! Coughed it up 10m out! Sinners grind out the scrum and boot into touch, and that folks, is that.
Bath didn't get enough turf second half and you can't win from your own half.
It has to be said though, Sarries were ugly last season - but Sinners?
Sheesh, you couldn't punch putty that feckin ugly...
C'mon Cari, let's get kaylied.

The guys you would have been hoping would have an impact lost it for us. ROG is done and has been for a while. Murray has learned nothing from last season from the looks of things. It's pass, step not pass, step. Scrumhalves who have good service all follow that route. ROG well he wasn't helped by Murray but he threw some woeful passes and is not suited to this system in any way.
Keatley wasn't stellar tonight but he managed the game well, he has played better this year but wasn't too bad tonight. Our back play is getting better game by game you would struggle to find a better team try than Earls' one tonight (poor distributor? Child Please) It has a long way to go and we do look toothless at times but it's a far cry from last year. Most disappointing part of the night was O'Dea going off injured (we'll leave aside Trimble doing his best to eliminate his image as a sound man ) this guy has serious potential around a try every 2 games. Doesn't look too bad and if he is fit we have a heck of a battle for the winger spot. Zebo, Dougie, Earls and O'Dea (Glas, Earls has to win his spot for Munster before starting for the Lions )
Now back to the Lions v 49ers

Ulster deserve massive credit. Their fans were incredibly loud and provided a great atmosphere. While the team contributed to a pulsating game on of the best Rabo games I have seen as good as a fair few HC scalps.
We won the real match up today anyway. Musnter As beat the Ulster Ravens in typical Munster style with a last minute try. From next BOD/ROG/Irish Rugby Saviour JJ Hanrahan

Morning slackers,
Double reading for me today, nice little number to be honest.
Didn't get to see any of the rugby last night, sounded like a cracker in Ravenhill though. Extremely surprised by the Os result, did not see that coming, and well all ill ask about the junkies game is how many did McVisser score??

Actually, she is the only one who doesn't have a sporting event today.
P1 off to Horse Riding, P2 off to play rugby in Dublin, P3 having a friend over for the day as they have no Hockey match, P4 Ballet at 10.30 and P5 to new Ballet class at 9.00!
MrP off to watch P2 leaving me to drive around fetching girls hither and yon!
P3's friend will be going home at around 8pm then maybe get to sit down for a bit!

Not really glas, I've normally no real interest in the royals at all to be honest but it does seem really unfair on her. She was on a private holiday in a private property and see got them out like most young women would do. Doesn't give anyone the right to picture it
Note:- massively hypocritical but I wouldn't mind seeing the snaps

Morning all.
I've been up since dreamer's post above: "Thanks again anyway T
Off to get some kip now, happy evenings/nights all."
Laid some turf (to some eroded lawn areas which got washed away and never fully recovered) and cut back some of the jungle this morning. Also re-arranged and transplanted some plants for Mum. Everything fell into place nicely. Feeling a little scratched and slightly sore - ready for some football now.
Swanny - I went for Option B; buy the turf... it turned out perfectly. Got some seed thrown in with the bargain too.
Option A was a "no go". I got up early for it though.
We just had the Shute Shield Grand Final here.
Sydney Uni won again (for the 27th time) 15-14.
Southern Districts were on top for 3/4 of the match but they were never completely out of reach and eventually got ground down in their own 22. Uni then sealed it with a late try.

sorry Billy

Morning all. Busy Mrs P today I see. As per.
Off to Wycombe in an hour or so. Hopefully we'll get a good game, and the red kites will be hovering above the ground. If you can forget the industrial estate behind the ground, Gomez Park really is in a lovely setting with tree covered hills on three sides of the ground.

T,
I would have to watch the game again from last night but I think you're being a bit harsh on Murray. I think Munster should have used Downey and Coughlan down the 10 channel a bit more.
Ulster deserved the win, but really, what a game and I am proud of Munster after that. Promising signs for the team.
Two things, big respect to Hurley and Trimble after the game who both seemed to apologise and move on from it.

In respect if this pub and its location
1989, just another game, was it just a football match, and did I die for blame? April was the month, 15th was the date, time was on my side you know, cos I was never late. Butties for my journey, money off my dad, scarf around my little neck, I am my Mothers lad. Oh the mighty reds, semi final day, couldn’t wait to see my team, I wasn’t drunk okay? Singing on the coach, waving mum goodbye, blow a kiss and see her smile, I didn’t mean to die? Got my ticket here, in my tracksuit top, it was red and white of course, like my old famous Kop. What an atmosphere, walking to the ground, thousands of supporters sing, I’m feeling safe and sound. Turn-style over there, feel a little push, what’s the need to swear at me, this copper in a rush? Something isn’t right, feeling threatened now, hoarded like an animal, but I’ll get in somehow? I can see gate C, there is something wrong, men on horses lose control, I still hear that song. This anthem was my last, frightened on my own, I lost my dad along the way, my need to walk alone. The gate was opened wide, they let us in as one, released my fear and said a prayer, where has my daddy gone? Carried by a wave, women kids and men, there was no escape for me, inside this little pen. Nowhere left to go, crying for my dad, Mum I need a little help, cos this is really bad. Coming up for air, there was not enough, taking breath that wasn’t there, already out of puff. Falling to the floor, someone help me please, lift me up and carry me, just get me off my knees. What is going on? Why am I in here? I have come to watch my team, instead I shed a tear. Why is that man still? Horror on his face, get me out before I die, my only saving grace. The song I love has gone, replaced with cries and screams, this is not what I came for, so distant from my dreams? Lost within a wall, of dying souls like me, my eyes they close as I give up, I’m drowning in this sea. I gasp again for air, but it is way too late, my fight has gone with my last breath, resigned I am to fate. Oh my Mammies tears, the Mersey they will fill, the sorrow of this Saturday, will have to wait until. Justice being served, I’m angry that I’m dead, amongst the 96 that day, I was to blame they said? The sun they printed truth, of lie’s upon their lie’s, with politicians who were bent, the men I now despise. The police who got it wrong, the carers I don’t trust, the paramedics lied to me, to cover up a must? Say a prayer for me, for I have sorely gone, and long before my time I add, this justice for no one. I am a lonely soul, who longs to be a peace, my mum and dad need peace as well, their pain will never cease. But on this special day, the truth is plain to see, that I was not to blame that day, this truth is sent by me. My spirit lingers on, cos we shall not be moved, a son who went so far away, a sin that will be proved. I stand in silent awe, beside my loyal friends, the 96 including me, our resting now depends. On evidence so clear, the public my domain, I’ll rise above deceitful men, to be with you again. The light that shines for me, exonerates the blame, the truth is out and I will live, as your eternal flame. I Love you mum and dad, I love you Merseyside, I love you all across the park, together we have pride. The time has come to rest, so please don’t be too sad, I’ll get the truth to you somehow, so trust in me your lad.

Hoog,
There was a nice story I saw linked on twitter yesterday. Well not nice, but good that he has managed to stay alive to find out the truth and not have his son's name smeared.

Morning all. League game in Usk, then of course a rocking Rodney Parade. I don't think it's a full house, but at least there's always a lively atmosphere there. Very nervous about this evening. Glad I have rugby beforehand to take my mind off it.
