The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, The Patch
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to The Patch - a tiny rugby union* community nestled in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne in the week before the AFL Grand Final.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Willie Falloon, Joel Conlon, Peter Murchie, Lewis Jetta, Lance "Buddy" Franklin and Frazier Climo.

I got the teams right on the World Cup Whistle, but not the year. I shouldn't have justified it. Still, I answered the question correct eh Stag I know you love the Dragons and all that, so won't dock me the point.

Ospreylians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free,
We've golden props, a wealth of backs,
Our home is Liberty:
Our boys abound in nature's gifts,
Some beauts, some rich, some rare,
In history's page let every stage,
Advance Ospreylia fair,
In joyful strains then let us sing,
ADVANCE OSPREYLIA FAIR!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, The Patch
Very off topic but good to see a football club bucking the trend with hiring/firing managers every year. Newcastle United have just offered their manager an eight year extension saying "If you look at clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal, Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have shown that stability gives you the best platform to achieve success and that is the model we wish to emulate here."
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, The Patch
Good deal for Pards. I'd say given Newcastle's recent history with managers he can expect a reasonably big payout in 18 months to 2 years time. Or am I being cynical?

Alan Pardew's doing a fine job with Newcastle but I'll be surprised if he lasts eight years, especially with Mike Ashley running things.

Either way good deal for him. Maybe Newcastle are straight jacketing themselves.

PM for lucky.
Nice quiz stag. I've been in meetings so I couldn't do it. Reckon I would have got 13, but that's easy to say now.
Train home soon thankfully.

See Stag, Ozzy knew 64 was wrong as well.
Sorry, But Fergie and Wenger had the time to operate, but also the pressure to get results. A fixed term contract gives you neither!
