Post by Pal Joey Sat 22 Sep 2012, 09:11

First topic message reminder :

Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The Pub has made its way to The Patch - a tiny rugby union* community nestled in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne in the week before the AFL Grand Final.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Willie Falloon, Joel Conlon, Peter Murchie, Lewis Jetta, Lance "Buddy" Franklin and Frazier Climo.

Ah sure we'll win it in the 2nd-half. Twill be grand. But a high-scoring draw would be better.

22-6 at HT. Same as in the HC Final of 2011.

Believe.

It's been a really hard time for these men, I can't speak highly enough of how they've gone about their work tonight given the circumstances.

As you should be pal. They were magnificent to a man. The ultimate respect for a loss that has shaken Ulster Rugby to its roots.

Tonight, they started turning that into a positive.

They will always carry him within them.

Ulster still have Stephen Ferris, Rory Best, Roger Wilson, Ruan Pienaar and Johann Muller to come back into the side. Good times Smile

That said Roger Wilson has a fight on his hands to make the team- for all his one-handed showboating tonight, an interested Nick Williams is a very effective player... I've never known an Ulster squad with such strength in depth before!

Zebre miss a kick, still 22-19 to Glasgow.

5 mins to go. There's been a bit of a stoppage as a Glasgow player has been stretchered off. Low I think it was, not heard what injury it is though, hope tis nothing serious.

Gibbo a big decision from Joe to pick an inexperienced side has seriously backfired here. Leinster can't get off the back foot.

Next weeks game at Ravenhill to decide who is No1 province in Ireland.

Hi All! coffee

I've had a fecking top night!!! Got a great spot on the South Terrace, right at the front and Tommy scored both his tries by me Very Happy Had some great company in a few local lads stood around me. I told them I was there to support Tommy and they thought that was funny, so when he scored both times I was going nuts and they were Laugh Good game I thought, although there were a lot of disgruntled Blues supporters. The ref was getting a bit of stick from a few people nearby too which I didn't like. Still, it didn't rain until I got home, I'm scoffing on some yummy burger and chips and thank you MrsP for the Scotty update. I'm so glad to hear he's OK.

It's been a top night all round then! Yahoo

I know it's the 'other' code, but the Super League semi final between Wigan and Leeds Rhinos has been one hell of a game. Wigan leading by a point with 10 minutes to go.

Laugh Laugh

Yeah roysh. guinness

He has used 40 players in 5 games. The mixing and matching has been a very tricky manoeuver so far It will come. He getting them all ready for what is to come and he's a Master at it.

Wouldn't kill us to lose to Connacht. And would be superb for them. It would kick their flagging season off. I'd never say that about any other team on the Planet.

Connacht Abu!
