The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, The Patch
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to The Patch - a tiny rugby union* community nestled in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne in the week before the AFL Grand Final.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Willie Falloon, Joel Conlon, Peter Murchie, Lewis Jetta, Lance "Buddy" Franklin and Frazier Climo.

Aw, golden retrievers are such lovely dogs. Calm, obedient, friendly. Lovely temperament- great choice
As puppies, they still cause havoc though. No matter how calm adult golden retrievers are all puppies bring chaos.

Notch - yeah we had a golden retriever when I was growing up who had to be put to sleep 4 years ago, so think the time is right for my parents to get another one, really can't wait now
Lucky - ha that is good but,tis a she (my Dad outright said no to getting a boy dog), so we're back to pondering names.
Were going to go with Meri, then changed it to Lexie, and then thought we'd settled on Holly but that turned out to be the mother's name!

Welsh regs, a hypothetical:
Say the WRU's turnover is at record levels, up say 15% and that debt is under £20M for the first time since building the MS, what would be your priority?
- reduce the debt even further and quicker
- Increase funding to grass roots
- Reduce ticket/merchandise prices for the fans

Hound - Meri was the Welsh option, or perhaps Mabli, but for girls names there aren't really many that suit a dog really.
Glas - why not settle for a combination of all three?

You could go for a combination of the first two, but the third means the other two are difficult to impossible.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, The Patch
ha my mam just suggested that last one too Glas.
She really wants to call it Georgie, but I'm not convinced on that one. I just think of George North or my Uncle George with that one.

Rava -
Ha blimey, am so excited we're getting a dog, I forgot I'm going to the rugby on Friday when my Dad juts mentioned it. Oops.
Oh also, if you were going to interview a head coach of a team the level down from the Pro 12 (so like in Wales, a Welsh Prem side) what would you think to ask them?

Just watching Scrum V. Bad luck London Welsh, but Prop will be happy - they were beaten by Gloucester.
Galway lost the All Ireland Hurling Final, and the Dubs lost the minors one. Ah well, I've had a great weekend of sport, and like Mick Jagger said, you can't always get what you want

Rory McIlroy was pretty lucky to make his tee off time according to the Beeb. He was on the wrong time by an hour or something. Hardly a great start and pretty weird, given he's been playing for two days already.

Evening pub, .
There's something not quite right about that Rev, it sounds very fishy. He's now playing in the RC singles as the first player in history not to hit any balls before teeing off.
Bizarre.

"Gerry McIlroy, father of Rory, confirms that it was confusion over the tee times because of the various TV schedules that have been reported."

Well, whoever's in charge of his schedule needs a word in their shell.
If Wee-Mac can hang in there with Bradley for the first few holes he should be OK, but he's not hitting the ball sharply at the moment.

The USA look like they're creaking a little under the early pressure from Europe, a long way to go, but if Europe could win this - what a day that would be.

Stag, I really wish you could have seen my Dad's face when I suggested Sospan.
Speaking of Dyrewolves, just finished watching the first two episodes of season 1 of game of Thrones, ordered it off of Lovefilm. Forgotten how good it is.

ha Stag I wouldn't mind it, but the name needs my Dad's stamp of approval and he's a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to names.
Agree with you bout the books btw.
Cari - ha, I like that one!
CJ - evening how'd your match go?

Stag - ha! Tis a girl!
PJ - love the last one!
Tilly would be ace, but it's what my uncle's crazy border collie is called
I can't believe how difficult this is. We've all come up with names we like individually but we just can't find one we all like.
