The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Taihape
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Taihape - The Gumboot Capital of the World!
http://www.taihape.co.nz/
We also welcome our newest member, Amber ...who no doubt will have an interest in those boots!
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Aaron Smith, Topsy Ojo, Jason Shoemark, Tom Rees, Gonzalo Garcia, Leo the Leinster Lion and Lalakai Foketi up on the wall.

So the BBC reports that Tondi Chavhanga could be fit for the Wasps game on Saturday, but the Dragons website doesn't have him in the squad - nor in the 'players unavailable for injury' list. Who to believe?

Feck, that's really not good. No alcohol allowed antibiotics for you then I take it. Hope it clears up asap for you.
Just been making up a list here now in my lunch break for things to take to France. Bet you I forget something stupid like my pj's or toothbrush, I always bloody well do.

awww so jealous of you Lucky!!
Is it really going to be the Ashes again next year though? can't believe how quickly they come around now!
I remember going to see day 5 in Cardiff a few years back, that has got to be the most exciting draw I have ever seen in my life

How did you manage to get tickets for that?!
I decided a few months ago that I wanted to take my dad to an Ashes Test, but by absolute good luck a colleague and I were talking about tickets today and they only released them at 10 this morning. We won't be sitting next to each other, but we'll be in the same block, and we can always get two cups and a piece of string if we need to speak to each other.

ha you'll be fine, people mill about and swap seats all the time anyway
It was easy getting tickets for that one I think. My best mate got it for me for my birthday, and think because it was day 5 (as you aren't guaranteed play) and the forecast was so poor, they were relatively easy to come by!
First few hours were a struggle I'll admit as I was so supremely hungover, but as time ticked by and Collingwood was still in at the crease we were like "hold on, we can still get a draw!" then there was the monster hold out at the end by Jimmy Anderson and Monty Panesar. Just amazing. Love cricket.
I honestly am quite ridiculously jealous of you!

Btw, I won’t be able to make Ravenhill in December, A is heading home for Christmas on the Sunday so I can’t head off the day before she goes.

Holy smokes! There’s now a game for the PS3/Xbox that teaches you how to play PROPER guitar! It comes with a little adaptor that you plug your guitar into and then works a bit like guitar hero except you properly play each note/chord and strum.
I must have this game!

Stag, we were talking about going next April though a lot will depend on any involvement in the HC and other potential destinations. Chris' brother has family that live in Galway so accommodation might not be an issue.

Rav, would you believe it's quicker to get to Cork from Dublin than from Limerick (by public transport!) mad!
It'll be good to have a catch up Gibbo. It's officially been 11 years since i've seen you.

dirty tricks? :gasp: why how dare you!
KP practically handed you that test on a plate with his awful batting. Still can't believe you couldn't get Monty out though. There is one thing that man can't do and that's bat

Dear Dreamer,
If they hadn't gone off every 5 mins for a glove, a blydi fresh helmet.... toe nail clippers, umbrella, eye drops.... we would have won that.
So is KP back in the mix for India? Or still up in the air?

Now now Breker, the toe nail clippers were vital.
And not sure on KP. If I'm being perfectly honest, I haven't been keeping up to date with the mens game much at all. They always seem to be playing some tournament or other. Tis a bit of over exposure for me and I've gotten a bit bored with it. Will all change when the Ashes comes around though wrth gwrs.

wrth gwrs = with claws?
ECB really like to cook their braai slowly don't they? The announcement must be imminent because they...... stop press.
Just found this:
http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-england-2012/content/story/582728.html
hang on, that was written Sept 18. I thought he could get a call up. England need him for this tour.

Trinidad & Tobago (8/3) in trouble early against Yorkshire in the Champions League T20 play-off. If Yorks win, they'll qualify.
Earlier, Auckland Aces beat Hampshire so they are the 9th team to qualify.

Was just thinking what a great player he would be in Union if he had been in this era.

Remember folks, for those in Ireland, 9.30 tonight on TG4 is The West's Awake; the story of Connachts first season in the Heineken Cup
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PawcfrDf9IU&feature=relmfu
Looks great. Think you might be able to stream it on the TG4 website; at least you probably will be able to if you're on the Island of Ireland. Not sure about UK.

Link Hoogs,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cycling/19903716
The USADA are calling it the "most sophisticated, professional and successful doping programme the sport has ever seen."
They say Armstrong was the hub and brains of it all and have overwhelming evidence to present to the UCI, WADA and the World Triathlon Corporation.
Apparently they have undeniable evidence.

I've got some Lemsips or Ribena so I'll have one of them. My throat is definitely not due to me giving up fags - I did that four years ago...unless it's a delayed reaction!
