First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to "sleepy" Roswell New Mexico, take off point for the first ever supersonic free-fall this week.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Felix Baumgartner and Chris Budgen up on the wall.

Morning big lad, waiting outside Julian Graves in Tamworth, needs refitting for the 1st November, in which case Mr Evans better get a shifty on and turn up for our appointment, or feckin whistle for it.
Glad you all had a ball, I can only guess at the carnage level... how's ya swede?

I was chatting about them with my Dad. Was saying that I couldn't remember a single kickable penalty chance missed, visit to the Munster 22 or occasion when they went more than 5 phases in possession. Got to be one of the worst displays I've seen by a professional rugby team. I've seen Italian sides in bygone years outclassed and beaten much worse, but they've shown a bit of heart in their play. Edinburgh looked like a side that started the game waiting for the final whistle to blow. They just don't want to be out there on the rugby pitch.
At least Zebre have put up some futile resistance in the games they've played. I was trying to think of the positives Edinburgh have brought to the Heineken Cup so far and I was reduced to saying I admire the colour scheme of their shirts.

Yup. 32 divided by 4 equals 8.

Buenas tardes, amigos. OK, I need a plan for getting to Montferrand in December - my boys need me and my lucky jersey!! And should I really invite myself to stay at the house of an old flame who lives up a mountain in the Massif Central?
Sounds like a good weekend of rugby was had by some. Glad to hear from Prop that them thoughtless MEN got round to inviting Cari to a meet in the Diff What the hell has happenend to Embra?? Been out walking today (too nice to stay in) and saving up the recorded matches to watch when i get back in from my sister's where I am just off to join the family for Sunday roast chicken. Later, Peeps

Good evening All
Got to see the visitors, Mr & Mrs Penfro and Mr & Mrs Prop which was fab. Always lovely to see all, and O'Neils is a tidy pub. I'd also recommend the brekkie there. Gibbo and Lurker are on their way back to London (First Class again!).
Not so chuffed about the blydi O's game It all started so promising too...and then things just collapsed. Wasn't impressed with the showboating that crept into the Tigers try scoring I have to say. I just find that antagonistic from anyone. It's also dodgy and pointless. Oh well...my second team are still going strong in the HC...Shame about the Blues too, but the fans we spoke to in the pub didn't seem too fussed.
Saw Munster's game - poor Edinburgh! WTF is happening to them?! They did so well last season. I actually felt sorry for them. They didn't even get a penalty.

Yeah, that hadn't escaped my attention I got the first round bang on and the 3 grand slam points make a big difference to your round total.
I went out on a limb this round and backed three home teams to win by small margins against better opposition... it didn't work, Scarlets, Blues and Chiefs all fell short. I'm going back to pure form for the double headers.

Puma - long story which I'll try to keep short. There was no PLANNED meet on Saturday night, it just evolved and moved very quickly. Gibbo & Lurker weren't even supposed to be in Cardiff.

Puma, No to the old flame IMO.
Why am I not surprised to hear that Gibbo and Lurker ended up somewhere they shouldn't have been?

Edinburgh were good this season till we humped them too. Weird. Now the Dragons have done it, everyone thinks it's cool.
Rav, I'll still be in Kenya. Going on safari tomorrow though, so every cloud.

Cari, good you got to see the visitors. Thoughtless barstewards that they are
I didn't think Leicester were showboating but then I'm not an O's fan and these things can look/feel different when there is an emotional involvement. Last ten minutes were hard for O's cause up till then at least a LBP looked on.

Re: The Stratospheric Supersonic Dew Drop Inn, Roswell, New Mexico
Got to be honest, I've been very disappointed with Embra and Blues performances, having watched the Scarlets game in full today, I think they have themselves to blame as much as anyone.
They were up for it and had opportunities to put Leinster under pressure at key moments, but either made the wrong decisions or suffered from poor execution.
The O's looked good value today for getting something out of that game, the way it ran away from them after Flood's interception seemed to be down to Leicester appearing to want it more, however, the bounce of the ball is more cruel in this game than any other, I think. The O's just got nothing.

Have just seen the score in the Tigers v Ospreys game and can't believe it. The Ospreys were 10 nil up when I was watching it. The Welsh teams have really disappointed and Edinburgh have been embarrassing quite frankly.
None of the Rabo teams look like serious contenders which is really disappointing..... well one does I suppose....

Buenas tardes mas tarde, amigos. Recommended viewing tonight BBC2 (?) at 2200 'You've Been Trumped'. A good friend of mine has been at the forefront of the campaign to stop this a**ehole destroying this section of coastline- this documentary has been a long time in the making, in the face of some very nasty threats. Give it a look if you have nothing else more pressing. Gracias.

I don't want to side track your article so I will ask in here.
Why do you think the crowd was not so big?
Saturday afternoon kickoff against the champs would be almost as good as it gets, no?

Beats me. No buzz, no excitement, no feeling of a "big ERC weekend". Very few Leinster fans there, barely more than a Pro12 match. I don't know. Familiarity breeds contempt? They knew we didn't stand a chance? Mind you if Gibbo wasn't coming I might have canned it, but that would have been for farming/childcare and logistical reasons given I have two stag nights and a wedding in the coming weeks before the December charity float and my Mam hits the promised age in a couple of weeks.

Most Leinster fans who are touring are going to Clermont.
A handful are going to Exeter
A tiny tiny tiny minority travelled to Llanelli
