Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The pub has made its way to Colwyn Bay, where the Tier 2 AIs are currently taking place.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Bob Scott and Malele Kunavore above the bar.

Ah monday....the day I least look forward to!! Is it me or have quite a few regs dissapeared off the face of the earth at the moment?!

It has been fairly quiet recently. Maybe they're trying to avoid all the nonsense you get whenever the national sides are playing.

Or the nonsense we talk about Lucky!!

Well being the only one in my office at the moment has led me to finish most of my work for the morning and become pretty bored!

It's just me in the office here, as usual. I'll try and find highlights of yesterday's match.

History and current stuff - you need to know things like

"when did women get the vote?"
"who make up the shadow cabinet?"
"which groups are entitled to free prescriptions in England?"
"what %age of the population is Budhist?"
...

That's tough. Most people born here would probably fail it. Unless you're given the questions beforehand, in which case you can just look up the answers.

To be honest I wouldn't have a clue with those questions!!

It is multi-choice at least. But you need 18 or more out of 24 correct to pass. I've been working my way through a host of practice tests.

Just watched first half for france vs argentina, these 2 are fast becoming my fav international sides to watch!

I drink tea all day, every day. I don't know what I'd be like if I stopped drinking it. But it's good for you, isn't it?

I used to drink loads of tea....managed to cut myself down to 4 cups a day now and it seems to be working one year on!

Evening pub.

I only saw highlights of England's game but from what I saw credit must go to Aus for a very good performance. Even when England were dominating territory, Aus tackled like demons and rarely missed. They bossed the breakdown, and showed up an all too familiar failing in that aspect with recent England teams.

Having said that, England did create chances but failed to execute. The turning down of kickable penalties against such opponents was therefore brainless.

Yup, we did not deserve to win when you add it all up, and the rugby press hammered England this morning, having had a day to digest the match.

Time to show some footballer's how a rugby player plays wendyball.........should be funny!!

Prop mentioned a lot of regz dropping off here lately. I've noticed that for a while. It's a shame really as this place is only what the posters make it (if they want it to continue). I don't think it's all down to the internationals as some post on other threads just not here. Maybe some just can't be arrsed, it's not interesting or life is just getting in the way. Hopefully people are keeping in touch off line anyway.

Yes I am looking forward to my trip...I'm a smidge concerned about the weather. I just don't want any blydi snow. I can cope with cold and rain but no snow! I'm getting my air ticket the week after next. I didn't want anything else for Xmas so I told Mother to get my plane ticket and she was happy with that. Well, what else could I get for Xmas besides a trip to see Tommy?

You can mention my name Mrs P. It's regrettable that anyone feels they need to leave the site, but I won't be apologising for having a different opinion to someone else. There is an ignore option and mods are there to ensure the rules aren't broken so I'm not sure why anyone would feel driven off the site.
