The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Colwyn Bay
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Colwyn Bay, where the Tier 2 AIs are currently taking place.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Bob Scott and Malele Kunavore above the bar.

I'm still reading the pub I just don't have very much to say at the moment. This place always goes through lulls and peaks, I wouldn't worry about it.
Not much is going on with me other than I'm waiting very nervously for the results of my Masters which are due in the next dew days.

And I'm back! We drew 12-12 and I scored 2. Also got a ball to the knackers twice so I'll stick to rugby, much safer!!

Those signs are not to stop you falling. They are to stop you having any grounds to sue when you fall!
Which is why they are damn stoopid when placed on the floor of a crowded place. Network Rail do this at Euston when it rains -put these yellow signs on the floor when 1,500 people are heading for the exit and trying not to bump into people in front of them. i.e. no one is looking at the floor.

Hey, we have next year's Heino final meet up to look forward to.
In the last two years that has seen the pub at its best.
Well done on the 2 goals prop - bad luck on the 'other 2'!!

Nah, I'm applying for loads of things but Northern Ireland has nothing going right now. I'm applying for PhDs to start next September so not sure if I should look further afield for something thats only temporary. Hopefully something will come up soon.

Evening pub
Best of luck with the Masters Notch. There's a huge amount going on in Manchester music wise. Do you want me to keep an eye out?
I'm another that doesn't post as often as I used to. Down to being busy really. And not working alone on a reception desk anymore
Busy one today, 10 hour working day (12 including travelling) 2 apple pies made when I got home and 2 loads of washing done! Cream crackered now! And I've to be in work at 7.30 so up at 5.30 That's not going to be nice!

I love Classic FM. I find it distresses me especially on longer car journeys. However the don't half skip over the wider significance of the music in historic, political and religious terms.

It is multi-choice at least. But you need 18 or more out of 24 correct to pass. I've been working my way through a host of practice tests.
Some good news for Breaker

Bore da pawb / good morning all, It was forecast to rain all day today, but it wasn't raining on my way in to work. But I arrived to find a bucket on the floor in the office and a note from the cleaner saying there was a leak.
I'm surprised no one's worked out the blindingly obvious reason the pub's quiet: we've moved it to North Wales!

Morning all, well the squad's announced today, what do people expect? Wholesale changes? A couple of tweaks? Gatland starting?! I know Rees could be fit, I'd start Ken Owens personally

I imagine Gatland will go with experience wherever possible, meaning Smiler will start, along with Gethin Jenkins (who has done nothing to earn it), Ryan Jones, Warburton and Priestland. How Aaron Shingler hasn't had a game yet is beyond me. Liam Williams, too. Halfpenny's done admirably but he's not a natural fullback.

A new law is coming in soon, it will be illegal to pay cash for scrap.

If anything I can see this coming: it's not the squad I want but I reckon Gatland'll pick: Melon-Rees-Andrews, Charteris-Jones, Warburton-Tips-Faletau, Phillips-Priestland, Roberts-Foxy, Cuthbert-H.P-North

No, the Blues player (Luke Hamilton) isn't coming along. He's not a qualified coach and Cleo & Lard really wanted some input into training. The initiative is really aimed at clubs withn junior sections, so that the kids get autographs and photos with Blues players (plus I don't think he's got a pair of astro-trainers )

Morning, pub. Rain coming down in buckets still, but it's supposed to stop around midday. The ponies in the field opposite will be glad of that because the river has been covering more and more of their grazing (such as it is at this time of year). They aren't short of a drink of water at least!

Lucky, I think it's going to be close, but I think the Pumas are tiring a wee bit. Battle hardened is one thing, but they are finishing a run of very demanding fixtures. But I'll wait until I see Deccie's selection!! In other news, I'm considering a trip to Scotstoun this Friday for the Warriors v Leinster match. I'll see if I can drag Mr Puma away from his work - I think the Christmas party madness has yet to kick in at the hotel.

You could be right about the fatigue factor, Puma - and a fair number of Ireland's first-choice XV had last weekend off.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Colwyn Bay
I'm not unhappy with it. I'm glad Paul James is starting over Gethin Jenkins, and seeing as Dan Biggar is injured I'm glad we've gone for Priestland rather than Hook. I just hope they've given Rhys Priestland licence to play what he sees, because although he hasn't been on song, I do think he's getting stick for doing what the coaches want, which isn't really fair on him. Also, great to see JD2 back - although I hope he really is fully fit.
Our bench is hit and miss. I'll be saying a prayer for Aaron Jarvis before kick-off.

Watching the 2nd half of france-argentina and here's a classic quote from the aussie commentator:
'Moving to scarlets after this tour, if you didn't know that's the far west of Wales, go any further and you'll fall off in Canada!'
Do you Aussie's not believe in Ireland breaker?

There are some geographically ignorant nincompoops calling the game. He'd wash up somewhere near Cork wouldn't he?

What really annoys me is when he calls the Super XV.
"The Chiefs of New Zealand..." ffs, can you narrow it down a bit, son?
I've never heard him mention Waikato.
