A few of my mates did masters degrees. One had a job and within half a day was calling the others scroungers and bemoaning the fact they were living off his taxes!

At this stage, I'm pretty happy because getting such a high mark in my MA gives me a good chance of securing some AHRC funding, somewhere. The competition is intense but given the frosty state of the graduate job market a funded PhD place is probably the best job I can get. The living grant is 12k a year for three years but its tax free.

I know that Guitar is one of the most popular instruments for kids to ask for at school.

Yeah, I should seriously consider doing that. Because its a skill I have and you've got to make the best of all your skills right now.

That's a great idea MrsP. Give it a go Notch, you could try putting an ad in your local newsagent, something might come of it. You can make decent money from it, an ex-boyfriend had a music degree and made a reasonable second income from giving piano lessons.
