The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Colwyn Bay
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Colwyn Bay, where the Tier 2 AIs are currently taking place.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Bob Scott and Malele Kunavore above the bar.

I'm really happy about it, Breaker. She gets excited when she meets people because she's a puppy. 10 minutes or so and she's calmed down.
I'd forgotten all about the cricket until this morning when I heard we'd won the second Test!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Colwyn Bay
I was fairly busy today but was sort of preoccupied with the Adelaide test in between running around (it was an amazingly tough stand from Faf du Plessis to see out the draw) then suddenly realised at about 4pm here that the England-India test was on... so I quickly switched over thinking I would see it all unfold but it was already over.
I just managed to see KP accepting the MoM award. Well done England - sets up the final two matches in that series as well.
Glas, you certainly caused a 'stir' but I really enjoy reading your article.
Personally, I can empathise with you on most of those points you made (except for the Haka bit but I know what you mean... long story!) and I was more surprised with the emotional over-reactions it received. You took the hard line and said what you felt should be said - which was very brave; (we've been doing that for years, on and off... and look at the flak we cop!) - but it is an opinion piece after all. You are entitled to give your views and I think the whole thing was blown way out of proportion.
"tabloid journalism".... tutt bloody tutt!

Yeah, exactly mate.
He's certainly shown his hand but Glas deserves full marks for having the balls to put it out there to discuss.
https://www.606v2.com/t37686-men-of-honour ... but don't know if it's the watered-down version? The original has been archived.

I thought it was over the top but certainly generated some debate. For that alone it was worth the read.
Glas was also open to accept other views, saw no real problem with it myself.
By the way, we are not Mods so cant see that link

Have to say there guys....watching Craig Gilroy scythe through the Pumas defence and then watching ricky hatton end his career doubled up on the canvas on Saturday really left me with contrasting emotions.... there's no subsitute for youth and old father time waits on no man .....

Got an email from my recruitment agency today. The lady who's been finding me work for the last year is leaving next Wednesday. I had no idea she was moving on, it's fair knocked me duck off

Apparently they are recruiting Cari, and a lady who already works there is covering until they get someone new. I'm sure it'll be fine it's just a shame, I'd built up a good relationship with Chloe.
How's things at your place? Got a shock when I saw your FB post that you've been there a year

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Colwyn Bay
Littlest P is doing card tricks.
The trick works like this.
You are told to pick a card. You are only allowed to pick the card indicated by littlest P.
You have to show littlest P the card you "picked".
You replace the card precisely where littlest P tells you.
You have to close your eyes.
Low and behold Littlest P somehow manages to locate exactly the card you picked from the pack of 4 cards available!
Rapportous applause ensues.
Repeat as many times as any mother could reasonably be expected to tolerate.
Repeat again just as many times.

Ahhh the journey of discovery is such a rich one at the tender age.
Evening ladies, and Prop.
Glas knows how to drop a grenade, fair play to him, what a corker, my only reservation about the whole weekend, is that a bit of plonker blindsiding another player appears to have resulted in Biltong doing one.
I hope he's just off to cool down.

Mind you.
Littlest P's magic tricks are more logical and balanced than some of the posters on some of the threads in here just now.
"Hey Littlest P. Mummy is fed up of infantile displays of nonsense so show me trick again to cheer me up please!!!!!"

I was indeed Hound.
Some things said that needed said but unfortunately it was all aimed at Bilt which was neither good nor deserved. I wish he had made his plea as an announcement instead of a thread which would have removed the opportunity for some to vent their understandable frustrations at Bilt instead of at the forum as a whole.
I really really hope Bilt sees it as that and not as a personal attack. I really don't think many, if any wanted that.
