Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The pub has made its way to Dubai, host city for the upcoming round of the IRB Rugby World 7s.

Visitors are reminded to dress sensibly and carry their working-'holiday' permit with them at all times and if possible; engage in their sinful drinking habits within the smoky confines of the underground "English Pub". We have more big screens than you could ever dream of...

If you need to go for a swim at the beach - application forms for towels and umbrellas are available at the bar.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Ricky Ponting, Bradley Davies, Andrew Hore and Craig Gilroy above the bar.

I really do envy your nice cool crisp weather.

We had an absolute scorcher here today... people dropping like flies due to heat stroke. The bloke who does the gardens around here (I live in this Babylon-like complex ) had to go home after lunch. He chose the wrong day to mow the lawns.

It's going to be even hotter tomorrow. 36 deg in the city, 42 out in the west.

Swanny, that moon looked amazing. It was sort or orange here.

I don't want to fuel the fire by responding on that thread but this made me laugh out loud!

That´s about the size of it. The site reflects Society... and its misfits. We should have a virtual metal-cage Sin-Bin, lock em in together and let them knock 7 bells of meaningless, senseless, insecure, xenophobic, shoite out of each other. Like wound-up kids in a caged playpen.

It could be a site feature. "Hey lads, let´s pause with the reasonable debate already and go and see what the kids are up to on their little thread"

Well, we've borrowed Cai Griffiths because we're short in the scrum and Dunc is in there too. Fotuali'i almost got over then, but the Blues defence was actually rather good...

The commentator just said 'I think its absolute madness to schedule this game in an international window".

He does realise the international window is over? There's nothing the league can do if certain Unions want to schedule games outside IRB international windows!

It's not 'the' international window or 'an' international window.

It's the part of the season set aside for club competition in the Northern Hemisphere. There are weekends of overlap where we schedule Pro12 games in international windows, but this isn't one.

I should imagine Rick O'Shea is on the Red Button. Now as entertaining as he can be, he does talk schitt most of the time when he should be commentating. Tends to go off on a great long tangent...

It's the red zone fanzine Notch. It's not suspend to make sense.

That Red Zone thing is soo weird. I've had that on in previous games and they just yarn away despite the rugby. They may refer to it occasionally if someone scores but generally they just bleather on regardless. Drives me potty too.

I don't bother with the Red Button generally - tends to buggger up me telly.

As you can probably guess, the wife's not in!

I have to admit, I wasn't too interested in the pod casts idea but now I really enjoy them. I was listening while I cooked the tea!

I little bit Cari. I guess if we were all sat in a room together recording it then the conversation flows as you can see when people are about to speak. it took us a while to get used to Skype and letting each other finish and then piping in.

You need a director! And Stage Manager!
