Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The pub has made its way to Dubai, host city for the upcoming round of the IRB Rugby World 7s.

Visitors are reminded to dress sensibly and carry their working-'holiday' permit with them at all times and if possible; engage in their sinful drinking habits within the smoky confines of the underground "English Pub". We have more big screens than you could ever dream of...

If you need to go for a swim at the beach - application forms for towels and umbrellas are available at the bar.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Ricky Ponting, Bradley Davies, Andrew Hore and Craig Gilroy above the bar.

Can't say I'm surprised about the Welsh result. I can't comment on the match though cause I didn't see or read about any of it. I never thought for a second we'd win that match. Sorry to sound like a Negative Ninny. but that game should never have been organised. And lo and behold one of our best players has copped an injury. Pissses me right off.

Nah MrsP, there's little to take away from England's performance today, they played well, but 1 out of 3 isn't good enough.

I still had a schitt day all on my one, but it is December so I made the effort and bought a C'"£$%s hat. It's a beauty to be fair, I love it.

I did make a mistake a couple of weeks ago, I'm not proud of my weakness, but if we all sit down and look at what we've done in the past, I'm pretty certain that the tw@t who got it from me, knows he was a gold-plated, weak-assed needing a bit of a telling off kind of dick because he absolutely begged for it and didn't complain afterwards.

Apparently.

I read up a bit this weekend, it seems there was quite a stir.

Just a bit.

It did manage to distract a few Planks from their usual endeavours.

That and the fact that a few were asked to choose their window.

You know me and my extremely liberal views on moderating this place!

It seems they were told which window MrsP, there were little choice. I think in the end it was for the better, moderation will now put serial wimmers and offenders on shorter leashes which will make it easier for us as well.

Well, everyone will be very pleased indeed to see you back.

Mind you, if my first threatening PM didn't do the trick my next plan was to tell you I was going to be appointed as your replacement on the moderation team in you didn't return soon!

If that didn't get you back nothing would.

I reckon you will be the most fearsome moderator here, you just need to put one of your stern warings out there and people will toe the line immediately.

Bleh. What a day yesterday. A losing bonus point loss to the after we dominated the first half . Fair play, their pack just played keep ball in the second half.

Loved the England game though, but gawd, they're a one eyed lot down in the SW. Andy and I were the only ones in the pub applauding good play from BOTH teams.

London has its down side, but I suppose living there does breed tolerance and respect for others.
