The pub has made its way to Dubai, host city for the upcoming round of the IRB Rugby World 7s.

Visitors are reminded to dress sensibly and carry their working-'holiday' permit with them at all times and if possible; engage in their sinful drinking habits within the smoky confines of the underground "English Pub". We have more big screens than you could ever dream of...

If you need to go for a swim at the beach - application forms for towels and umbrellas are available at the bar.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of Ricky Ponting, Bradley Davies, Andrew Hore and Craig Gilroy above the bar.

Evening. micky, have you thought about giving him the option of resigning. Just explain that he isn't competent for the role and you don't want to sack him, but that will be the end result if he carries on the way he is.

The one I sacked was on maternity cover for my partner (business not sexual). We had hired a locum who left us down when Susan was in labour. We were desperate. She was looking for a job. We saw that she had three previous jobs in two years. I thought she hadn't been given a fair crack of the whip. I soon realised she had. I then thought, it's a challenge, I can train her. She was awful. The longer she stayed the worse she got. She has had four jobs since. We hold the record for the longest time before sacking her. Some people just are not up to it Mick, that's not your fault. However those people skills are gold dust. Youd be amazed how many people dont have them and cant learn them. I'd be tempted to find some role for him dealing with the public if you can, even if buying stationary.

Yeah, I thought it was something like that Cari. Not a chance! It is exceptional though, normally it's much more relaxed and, as long as we do the work, we can have breaks whenever we want. It's just because it's an exam week and the timetable is tight and unyielding that it's like this. Don't think I've ever worked so hard though!

Hellooooooo Scotty! good to see you about. Hope you're feeling much better and are fully recovered - or at least near enough.

I am only now able to operate properly as a human to be honest and it feels wonderful. The horrendous pain and vomiting is a thing of the past I reckon and I am up and about every day.
I saw the picture that Rava posted on facebook, not my best one I got to say but the visit from Rav lifted my spirits immensely and will always be remembered and appreciated.

Just had a phone interview for another job that the **** agent talked me into doing - I'm not really interested in changing jobs right now, but it's interesting to see what's out there.

Thanks for the advice yesterday. Conversation went well again this morning. I had planned on seeing how the conversation went. If he was resigned to his faith then I thought we would end it there but if he felt he could do it and wanted to prove it wrong then there was no big issue with giving him a couple of days.

We are going to review again on Tuesday to see how he is getting on. At least he knows I tried now

I'm good thanks. I only had a four-day week this week, but I'm still glad it's the weekend. It's been much busier this week than it has the previous month or so.

I am super excited by Xmas myself won't lie. Should be a belter this year. I am working a lot of it though but it will be handy. Might even do some college work during it need to get back on top of it.

I've got a fortnight off for Christmas / New Year, which is pretty darn good.
