The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amaile
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Amaile on the eastern-most tip of Upolu Island in Samoa - the first place on Earth to usher in the New Year.
So hop on a hammock and let one of the locals pour a kava down your throat as you are trying to read Tusiata Avia's famous poem: "Wild Dogs Under My Skirt" to the sounds of the Yandell Sister's "Sweet Inspiration" blaring in the background.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of George Pisi, Census Johnston, Paul Williams, Tony Greig, Christopher Martin Jenkins, Mike Nicholls, Babsy and Jeremy Su'a above the bar.

You wouldn't believe it Lucky. The maps showed winds of 40-50 km/h in a semi-circle around Sydney... we only had about 8km/h early on and it never got greater than 20 km/h. That was the key to our escaping it... so far. It will be hot again later this week. Sport has been mostly cancelled except for some tennis (they shouldn't have even played) and BB matches.
Also there were no fires (small ones were pounced on... some idiot kids have been arrested!) in the Sydney metro area.
It was really bad near Bega (the cheese capital!), Tarcutta (1/2 way point between Syd-Melb) and near Cooma (the gateway to the snowfields) which is usually freezing in winter. High winds and higher temperatures but the change has gone through there now and we are a few hours away from it.

I remmber going with my grandpa to watch the mighty Colwyn Bay F.C. once. Ian Rush's brother Steffan played up front for them. You can guess where the talent went in their family!

Afternoon pub please.
This is turning into a silly week. And the exams aren't even on until next week! Should not wish my life away but next Friday can't come quick enough

Anybody else think the new David Bowie song is a poor imitation of Coldplay?

The question is Glas... how on earth do you imitate Coldplay without improving it?

I haven't heard his latest, but for me he went South when he put Ziggy back in the closet.
Just an opinion like.

Well I didn't think it was THAT contraversial... I also do house clearances, but according to MrsP, probably not for much longer.

Morning, amigos. The buzz here is because I'm going to pick up my new motor car today Also, Total Rugby tonight is a 'Brian O'Driscoll Special' - it had better be suitably awestruck, fawning and deferential. And I have made Balinese Chicken curry for tonight's repast. Yum.

It's a Suzuki Grand Vitara, Lucky. I was looking for something to give me more traction, given my woeful record of sliding off the road in winter conditions, and also something with a higher driving position, given my vertically challenged circumstances! It is not new new, 18 months old, and Mr Puma's hard-ball negotiating tactics left the salesman with scarcely the shirt on his back, so a good price.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amaile
Anyone explain to me why there is a flag protest in DUBLIN??
UK citizens protesting about the UK flag not being displayed in the UK. To achieve their goal they are travelling to the Republic of Ireland. . . . . .?
Makes no sense.

Ah Stag...good of you to come in....I have a question: myself and MrsProp are looking to go on the Lions tour to N.Z (hopefully I'll be playing for Lions but then but just in case i'm not) do you have a rough guesstimate of how much it'll cost. Feel free to p.m me this.
We've just opened a joint savings account to save specifically for this!
Ta fella and morning all, looks like one of the young people I support is going to appear on daybreak tomorrow to talk about the service...win!
