The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amaile
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way to Amaile on the eastern-most tip of Upolu Island in Samoa - the first place on Earth to usher in the New Year.
So hop on a hammock and let one of the locals pour a kava down your throat as you are trying to read Tusiata Avia's famous poem: "Wild Dogs Under My Skirt" to the sounds of the Yandell Sister's "Sweet Inspiration" blaring in the background.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of George Pisi, Census Johnston, Paul Williams, Tony Greig, Christopher Martin Jenkins, Mike Nicholls, Babsy and Jeremy Su'a above the bar.

UK citizens protesting about the UK flag not being displayed in the UK. To achieve their goal they are travelling to the Republic of Ireland. . . . . .?
Makes no sense.
Not sure stagster but I'm heading down to protest at Tom Court and Paddy Wallace losing their bench spots on the Ireland team.....
After the Hendre Fourie fiasco we are now looking at ways to deport Tom Court.

Morning all.
Lucky - I think there's a few Wasps fans gathering at a pub in central London to watch Bayonne v Dragons. Good luck to you guys.

Hound, we should be throwing everything at this game now - the Amlin is all we've got left; but I'm almost certain that Darren Edwards, in his wisdom, will select a fair few second-stringers.

He's already rested our first choice props and Steff Jones is starting.

He just has more about him than Robling. I hope he's been working on his kicking out of hand though, because it was shocking at Parc y Scarlets earlier in the season.

Watch Piers Morgan interviews Alex Jones. An angry red neck shouting at a Holly Wilaboobie. Compelling viewing.

I heard some of that interview on the radio, Willy. A guest on the show said that someone as angry as Alex Jones probably shouldn't be allowed to have a gun.

I hope everyone is fine and Dandy this evening?
Cari may think that the people she sees on the streets are Fleg protesters but they are really a welcoming committee!

Bore da pawb / good morning all. I was going to watch that Africa programme last night - I'd watched the first episode - but by half eight I didn't really want to. I'll iPlayer it, if I remember.

Meant to be a bit emotional Lucky, if you are easily upset. Everyone was on about it on FB, as well as the Swans of course (off to Wembley by the looks).
Got to stay offline later and watch the Dragons as live tomorrow. Probably won't help but see how much we are losing by though.

Cracking result for the Swans. A bit pathetic (but not surprising) that the home fans stayed for 20 minutes after the final whistle chanting about Benitez, as if he was responsible for Ivanovic's brain farts.

Wow!
Glasgow are not able to name a full bench for the game tomorrow night.
Not enough props!

Yeah Kiwi.
And of course they aren't allowed to play anyone who isn't in their declared HEC squad and they haven't been allowed to add another prop.

That's a bit harsh, isn't it? If you're that injury-hit, surely you should be shown a bit of leniency?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amaile
Apparently the rules only allow players to be added at particular times and they won't let Glasgow add a prop now.
In a way it doesn't matter to Glasgow really as they have no hope of progressing but imagine if they were in first or second place at the moment.

I know.
Weren't Scarlets pretty close to being in that position before the start of the HEC a couple of seasons ago?

I have no idea quite how seriously their other props are injured but I wonder if they would actually be able to take the field if the game mattered to Glasgow but they are unwilling (understandably) to risk them in a game of no consequence when they are in a really good position in the Rabo?
