I'm pretty certain that they could have got a day 3 prospect in and they would contribute more than Greene, at least they've got Levitre to run behind.NYJ wrote:7Derbyblue wrote:Is that with the Titans?NYJ wrote:Shonn Greene, 3 years $10m.

Greene is getting $3.3million to be the drastic change of pace back while Bush is getting $4million to start in Detroit... Reggie needs to give Flacco's agent a call, either that or he represents Greene.

Also just read this on Avery "he dropped more passes per target than any wideout in the NFL in 2012" considering they've already got Bowe to drop catches Chiefs fans are likely to get frustrated this season.

If true it's all down to Mr Welker. I doubt the Pats will get involved in a bidding war

Wes Welker's two-year deal is worth $12 million. Which is more than what New England offered.
Well I hope we spend the money on getting Vollmer re-signed and some CB's

Let me do tweet 1 more time, with his name ... The Patriots' final and only recent offer for Wes Welker was $10M over 2 years, w/incentives.
Apparently Cribbs is going to be signing with Arizona, does that take Peterson off return duties?

mutual interest between Asomugha and 49ers. Apparently to be had for maybe only 3.5m. He and Woodson are well known mates so I think this could work out well, especially if Rogers is cut or the rumoured restructuring takes place

Oh well, that's the One-Man-Gang aka Lorenzo Alexander officially no longer a Redskin. Signed for Arizona. He's far from irreplaceable but there was a lot of sentiment attached to LorAx. Ultra high character guy. The ultimate team player. Sad to see him go. Like I say, not irreplaceable from a talent perspective but we've definitely lost a leader. I'll be interested to see the contract. The cap penalty just keeps on biting.

Fake Bill Belichick @CockyBelichick
I told Welker to come back and I'll make an offer. He said "I can't just drop everything." I said "Pretend it's a clutch pass." He hung up.
I sniggered.
On a more serious note, I'm not really too shocked by losing Welker, hurts he went to Denver tho. Pretty obvious he wasn't wanted by the coaches, and at the end of the day, they'll live or die by it

The Texans' first visit will be with S Ed Reed. He'll be at their facility on Thursday. They need a vet to replace Glover Quin.
All the noises are that Reed will not be a Raven next year. Will they have a defence?

Staying with receivers, but moving away from the Welker situation, I'd like if we went after Danario Alexander who the Chargers placed an original round tender on. Seeing as Alexander was an UDFA all they get is the right to match and that suggests any decent offer could lure him away. He would give us that big downfield threat and wouldn't break the bank.

The Patriots agreed to a 5-year deal with Danny Amendola, source says. 5 years, $31M. $10 guaranteed. Avg: $6.1
Hmmmm. Got younger, but more brittle at slot. I'd have signed Wes to a couple years seeing that tbh

Tampa Bay have been building a nice roster over the past year or so, in free agency - Vincent Jackson, Carl Nicks, Dashon Goldson, and the draft - Mark Barron, Doug Martin, Lavonte David. They will need to start competing soon though.
