First topic message reminder :

GSC wrote:Eagles traded Dion Lewis to Cleveland for Emmanuel Acho. Decent backup Lewis, just not as good as Brown.
Basically depth for depth, though I did think we were fine at RB with Richardson, Hardesty and Ogbonnaya but Acho wouldn't have fit the new 3-4 scheme so can't really complain about the deal too much and maybe one of those back ups gets sent off in a trade somewhere during the draft.

music Take me out to the ballpark. Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack. I don't care if I never get back. Let me root, root, root for the home team, if they don't win, it's a shame. For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out, at the old ball game. music

With the Mets surely it's less of a letdown because of the continued failures over their history.

The Eagles used to be alright...

I'd like to play devils advocate for a second.

The Eagles OL will be much improved with the return of Jason Peters and the addition of Lane Johnson. Vick and Foles were under pressure on about 40% of dropbacks. Add in the up tempo offense that gets the ball out quickly and has the defense blowing out their arse, there will be less pressure on Vick. Less pressure means less turnovers. I can see them having a wildly hot and cold season where they absolutely dominate games at times.

The Mets have won two championships....... albeit the 2nd one was 27 years ago, and until the last 10-12 years have been quite decent. Even made it to the World Series in 2000.

Not close to being on par with the Cubs or Eagles.

Some interesting preseason games this week. The Packers take on the Seahawks. Will there be any Golden 'catch' touchdowns?

There are a few 'local' derbies including the Jets vs Giants, Bucs vs Dolphins and the Chargers vs Cardinals.

There are also a couple of 100% preseason records that will go as the Bills take on the Redskins and the Texans faced the Saints.

So the Patriots decide not to play Tebow and get hammered 40-9. Coincidence? I think so.

On the plus side for the Patriots Kendrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson saw alot of the ball and played well.

The Panthers defence looked very good against the Ravens with Star Lotulelei and Luke Kuechley.

Geno. 10/20, 123 yards, 3 picks.

We've lost Hosley and Stevie Brown to knocks. Bear Pascoe leads the receiving with a 10 yard play. Randle 2nd with a 9 yard catch.

Highlights, it's like the Geno and Sanchez comedy show - http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-york-giants/0ap2000000234071/Pre-Week-3-Jets-vs-Giants

I real hope the Jets fans don't get carried away with the result. Curtis Painter was our leading passer. Jernigan finished as the leading receiver.

The Redskins having been going well in preseason without RG3. Still think they would have beat the Seahawks had they taken him straight out of the playoff game.

From some reports RG3 may not be back in time for week 1.

Only Sky's coverage has been announced. It would be a massive surprise if SNF isn't on C4 and MNF is anyone's guess. I would suggest that MNF is likely to be on C4 or BBC. I haven't seen much indication that BT Sport are interested.

PS - Haven't forgot my Q&A/ preview thread. I have had to go to work for the past two weeks so haven't had much time Crying or Very sad Got some time off now so should sent PM with questions out over next couple of days.

This is how the play offs would look based on preseason (ties based on points difference as there were little or no conference/ divisional games).

AFC

Wildcards
3. Jets vs 6. Patriots
4. Chiefs vs 5. Browns

Byes:- 1. Bengals, 2. Texans

NFC

Wildcards
3. Lions vs 6. Saints
4. Panthers vs 5. 49ers

Byes:- 1. Seahawks, 2. Redskins

And after a battle to replace Phil Dawson, the Browns have decided to cut both their kickers. They also have just 4 WR and 4 CB left.
Meanwhile, the Raiders are left with 4 QB and 2 punters.

The fact we are holding four quarterbacks suggests maybe not. I think they are planning to flip Flynn if they can and get something back. I think TP looks more like the starter after that move.

Why we have two punters is beyond me though.

No longer have 4 QBs Sodhat after they have decided to get rid of Tyler Wilson who fell behind undrafted Matt McGloin in the pecking order

Even under a new regime this franchise is still a joke. Hate them. A team rebuilding can't be affording to waste fourth round picks
