The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ealing Broadway
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The pub has made its way back to London where the victorious British & Irish Lions squad will start their 25 day open bus journey across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland - being greeted by millions of happy, proud, delirious, tipsy and slightly sunburned rugby fans.
So grab a beer, cider, whiskey or wine.... or a warm beverage and sit back and enjoy their well-earned procession through the streets where it all began.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of the legendary
Warren Gatland, Sam Warburton, Alex Corbisiero, Jonathan Sexton, George North, Jamie Roberts and Richie Gray.

Went to the quacks earlier. I spent more time on Cardiff Bus trying to get there on time (I made it with a minute to spare) than in the doctor's room. Still, I have some industrial strength amphetamines to hopefully make me look something close to normal...if I ever did

Oh, did anyone see the women's 400m final yesterday? What a ridiculously brilliant run from Christine Ohuruogu. Talk about leaving it late!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ealing Broadway
It was absolutely brilliant but what on earth was Montsho thinking about???
She is up against the "last minute Queen" of 400m running and she eases down and leans back at the line??
To do that in any race is poor but when you do it against Christine it is almost criminal.
So delighted for Christine though.

Very true, Ohuruogo's dip for the line might not have been enough if Montsho had dipped for the line too. But it takes balls (or ovaries) of steel to trust your finish like that. Amazing finish.

Bout yees folks!.... quick question.... is a verbal offer of employment legally binding? ...i.e. if one was planning to resign would it be better to get written confirmation of the new offer first?
Hypothetically speaking of course.....

Like you read my mind glas! Found out at 4pm today that the current vendor doesn't have their mortgage offer fully in place so looking at next week to complete at the latest otherwise we're both without a fixed abode!! For some reason the vendor and her solicitor didn't think to tell our solicitor or the selling estate agent so all are pretty peed off and I just want it done now! Where's the cider?!

Talk to your Landlord about whether he's found another tenant. If not ask if you can stay on a month by month basis. Tell the sellers that if they don't get themselves sorted you won't complete for another month. Why is the mortgage not in place? When was their valuation done? If more than a week ago alarm bells should be ringing.

I think they are waiting for the written confirmation of the mortgage offer which I've been told should be with them today or tomorrow. The agency who manage my property are bar stewards so I'm not even going to bother asking them!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Ealing Broadway
Yes but that can be:
A because it just takes time
B the survey says it's feiced
C they haven't given all the papers in for the credit rating
D their credit rating is feiced
If your solicitor finds out which it is then you will be able to make a plan B if it goes t its up. Don't just assume its A.

That really would be a shame, Cari, but, as Notch says, the medics may say otherwise. Fingers crossed for Tommy.

Good news! Under the circumstances. We're looking for 4 to 6 weeks for Bowe. He was scheduled to be back in October for Ulster, so it shouldn't out too much of a dent in the start of his season.

You could do without it, I bet. I suppose it makes it worse that it's happened this late in the day.
There's hardly any storge space at mine, but if you need to keep some stuff here tomporarily, I've got a shed if that's any help!

Good man!
Do you think you'll be free for the game against Bath a week tomorrow? I think PJ's coming over for that, but I'll have to check.

Morning folks ....anything positive or exciting going down anywhere?
If so then great, because it means I'm just having a typical stress related existential crisis rather than experiencing a cosmically influenced chemical-electrical imbalance due to some sort of impending apocolypse.

Yeah there are designated drinking zones about the city centre and pop up pubs everywhere, a real family festival type atmosphere.
I confess to not knowing much about the fleadh(sp? ), but its been a real success so far, I've never seen so many people here to be honest...
What's the link MrsP??
