Realistic Premier League
First topic message reminder :
Please be aware that this week's fixture are as follows:
Stoke City v West Bromwich
Sunderland v Norwich
Aston Villa v Fulham
Newcastle Utd v Crystal Palace
West Ham Utd v Cardiff City
Please PM Hero the following (if you are playing myself then PM Nando) before the end of Friday:
1. A easy to read team sheet eg:
2. A list of 7 substitutes eg: Lindegaard, Fabio, Jones, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck, Cleverley.
3. A list of 3 injuries (not applicable in week 1) eg: Giggs, Smalling, Valencia
4. Clear tactics in a bullet point format, we advise a minimum of five lines and a maximum of ten eg:
GK - Be vocal, communicate with your defensive line at all times, instruct them at set pieces and look to catch the ball rather than punch it, look to release early onto the flanks for counter attacks.
FBs - Keep any wingers on the outside, stay on your feet and block crosses, come forward down the flank when available
CBs - Man mark the strikers, keep goal side and time tackles
CMs - Look to pressurise early, spread the ball across the pitch and dictate the pace of the game
WGs - Work with our FBs to double up down the flanks and whip balls into the box, mix it up by coming inside and dribbling into the box, look to go down easy.
SS - Play between the midfield and the main striker, link up play, hang just outside the box when there's period of pressure and look for loose balls
ST - Hang on the shoulder of the deepest CB and look to drag them out of position, anticipate the ball and look to burst into the box for crosses or one-twos.
These shall then be posted on the board and results will be posted on Monday.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Miky I'll not stick yours up yet as we don't have a Brom manager, if we get one in the next 24 hours then they may wish to do tactics, if not I'll recycle last weeks.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Stoke 0-0 Villa
Stoke look light up front this week again with the injury to Finnbogason, also note to Miky, be more demanding of your players rather than saying you would like them to do something, tell them to do it, they'll respect you more, you're the boss! Just can't see this being a high scoring game.
Fulham 3-2 West Ham
Both have hot and cold strike forces, on their day partnerships that could get a bagful, whilst on others look horrific. For me though the game is won in the centre of the pitch where Dembele and Meireles outclass Whittingham going forward.
Palace 1-2 Cardiff
Trebs is starting to get the framework of a quality side together and as usual is a tactic god, I'm unsure though of the comments for the likes of Medel putting in flying tackles, can't see him lasting 90 minutes with those instructions, I can see Cardiff taking an early 2-0 lead but then hanging on towards the end for a scrappy 2-1 victory
Brom 1-2 Sunderland
I can see the game spending most of the time in Sunderlands half but Sunderland getting the win through counterattacks down the flanks.
Norwich 0-1 Newcastle
A tight win for Newcastle with Norwich keeping them at bay well with their tight midfield and are unlucky not to get anything.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Yep whip em over, I'm still knackered from France tbh, had the wonderful pleasure of my room mate whilst asleep puking over me and my bed (and his) which resulted in me having no bed for the last night and having to watch him for fear of him choking to death for the rest of the night.

Re: Realistic Premier League
Aston Villa v West Bromich Albion
(Not had any tactics or reason from YI so I think the match is abandoned due to crowd trouble with both sides therefore neither gains any points)
Newcastle Utd 1-1 Sunderland
Remy & Larsson
Both closely fought games with the wingers of Newcastle taking advantage of the Sunderland, Unfortunately Debuchy playing in the centre of the park is a terrible move and that leads to Sunderland seeing more of the ball then they really should have and being able to carve out opportunity of their own.
(IE Hero balls'd up his team sheet!)
West Ham Utd v Stoke City
3-1 (Defoe, Nolan, Jarvis - Forlan)
Really narrow formation of Stoke for me is their downfall whilst the forward three are falling over themselves for the same ball.
Cardiff City v Norwich City
1-0 Odemwingie
A game of misfiring strikers for me with neither side making the most of their chances due to lack of quality in front of goal. Neither side too seems to wish to go for broke with defences staying back, the slight edge goes to the Bluebirds overall class.
Crystal Palace v Fulham
0-2 (Dempsey, Adebayor)
Just cannot see the defence of Palace being able to cope with the qualities of Fulham for 90 minutes and it's quite the procession. Lubo needs to bring in tried and tested Premier League stars over League 1 potentials.

Danny Batth is a top player and on great form in League 1. I think people underestimate how difficult it is to find top players who would sign for Palace

CF i have jussi and Marshall. Would sell either.
And Batth might be playing well in league one but that doesn't mean he's hack it in the premier league.
