The most stupid thing that any football fan could ever say, and a shame as it's by two decent posters. Any "fan" who claims he would be happy to see any player suffer a career threatening injury is an idiot.

That was a red card all day long and I suspect he knows he's a very lucky boy.

Agree. Stupid thing to say. I've seen players like D Cisse break his leg twice, horrifying scenes. I'm not a fan of Suarez's past behaviour but to wish injury on him is shocking.

Do Sunderland think getting people sent off gives them points?

We beat West Ham by having a go at them, putting pressure on them, but no we bring in our worst most out of form player and set up to defend, and then don't even put pressure on the ball!!!!!!

I give up ffs

We're on our way to 3 wins on the bounce. If only we hadn't fuc**d up against Hull, we'd be third right now, having played many of the decent teams, unlike Southampton

We have no idea how to attack. No idea how to use or get the strikers in play. No corner has been turned, this is useless.

If Johnson isn't taken off for an attacker at half time I'm turning it off.

Meh. He's a very vile footballer, a good injury, not a career-threatening one mind, would be a good dose of karma.

He's one of the very reasons why football is in the gutter. Children look up to people like him, and when they see Suarez diving/cheating, they'll think it's OK and replicate that.

Football's better off without scum like him. Don't care how much talent he has.

Their fixtures get worse going into Xmas though. We've played Spurs (a), City (a), Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton(a) etc.

Southampton caught United at a good moment really. Big few weeks for Soton. I expect we should jump them in the next few games playing like this. Since we've dropped HBA/Cisse, the transformation has been quite brilliant.

Swearing's a bit different though isn't it?

I mean, if you swear, that's a bit different than trying to cheat an opponent out of the game isn't it?

People never moaned when Ronaldo was going down every week, or Drogba. Why's it such a big deal with Suarez?

Isn't it funny that we complain about our children being influenced by a player falling to the ground easily, but don't mind when our team surround the referee trying to get a player sent off.

I did, I did, and I do.

Glad Ronaldo's not in the Prem any more, same with Drogba.

And I wish football would take its lead from Rugby Union, and only let the team captains speak to the referee except in special circumstances. Any backchat = instant red.

I'm comparing the situation to the stuff people come about Suarez. I never heard anyone say Ronaldo was the reason football was in the gutter, yet he dives just as much as Suarez does. I can understand all the other stuff Suarez doing giving the game a bad name, but the diving is no worse than the players I've listed. In fact, Ashley Young makes him look like a saint.

Hampo, I don't want Ashley Young in the PL either. Still, his cheating isn't quite up their with Suarez yet - handling it against lower-league opposition to score, punching the ball off the goal-line, and biting someone (x2) -all on Young's checklist.

Yep. Then again, I was always brought up that playing in the right spirit is better than winning.

Finally a win on my bets
£5 on Newcastle Bolton Oldham Scunthorpe
£236 win.

Beauty.
Am out tonight to wet my son's head.
Might just come in handy.
