Hmmm he has tracked back very well. Certainly wouldn't call him worst winger in the league. But he like many of Spurs signings were poor.

Since Utd played Arsenal, Arsenal have increased the lead by one point... but don't worry, Utd arent losing to the big teams...

No idea why anyone would play Tom Cleverley ever. Total passenger, completely done for Sandro's goal, useless player.

Good point for Utd in the end fighting back from a goal down twice

Cleverly does try, he does get about- but he gives the ball away way to much.

Seems like a good point on paper but that's another 2 points dropped and we are miles off arsenal now.

Typical to beat them and then draw with Cardiff and spurs in the next 2 games.

Midfield is useless, thank god for Rooney.

AVB saying the criticism and an 'agenda' against him is being driven by Alan Sugar.

I'd say it's because he's spent £100m+ on a lot of rubbish, team can barely score a goal and just lost 6-0.

Totenham got screwed over basically- they had 80 odd million to spend from the bale transfer who is only worth 40 and only got 30 million pounds worth of players for the price of more than bale!

Its what happens to teams that sell a world class player and buy at the same time.. Hindsight probably tells us its best to wait

Have only seen highlights of the last few games so I can't comment on performances, sounded pretty shoddy last week though.

Just looks like without Rooney at the moment we'd be struggling.

Liverpool looking poor today. Not a great midfield.

AVB isnt doing badly, the guy just needs to learn to play the media. His real problem has been that Soldado hasnt thrived as a goalscorer.

This is the reason Arsenal possibly struggling away at the big sides might not matter in the long run. Their rivals are just playing so poorly against the minnows of Hull, Cardiff & Sunderland, whereas Arsenal aren't. Truly amazing EPL this season.

His real problem is his stubborness to keep playing soldado.

Sometimes teams buy bad, sometimes players are out of form.

But to keep playing a player that offers nothing when there are better players fit and in form and not playing is the problem

I don't know if Defoe is a better option. Has he scored in the Prem this year?

Liverpool. Shocking. Thats why no one considered them for the league.

I agree John, but they will be within touching distance of the chasers again if they lose those two big ones coming up.

That's because AVB's system clearly doesn't suit him.

He should've got Top 4 last year, and somehow failed despite Bale. Overrated, I'll always maintain it

what sort of argument is that mate?

he hasn't started one game- how can you score if you dont play? yet has scored at a very good ratio this season

9 goals in 800 odd minutes, he has only had 191 minutes in the PL and that is coming on for the last 25 mins in 7 pl games!!

soldado has only scored a few penalties and yet has had 1200 minutes on the pitch and 942 in the PL!!

I dont see how hes overrated, hes got Spurs into the kind of area expected really, battling for top four and a better side than they were.

I do think he planned to make a side that suited Soldado more, but Lamela hasnt worked out yet and Eriksen hasnt had the fitness. They do have a supply line, but Townsend is a bit too selfish and Lennon is only just getting his fitness back too.

Benteke was perfect, but he was also a man who signed a new contract.

I find this backing for him to be sacked quite baffling. They're three points behind Liverpool, a Liverpool side who have been flying by their recent standards. It was a big summer for Spurs, AVB's approach to transfers was more long term than it could have been, and he hoped the others would step up and show it wasnt just Bale. They arent doing badly, but they've not done as well as they should have.

They are similar strikers, I dont think Defoe will do much differently to Soldado and one has to adapt to the Prem too - no use signing him then tossing him away too early. Defoe's goals have been against rather dodgy sides too. I get your point, but you wont revolutionise the play up top by putting Defoe in.

I read some stats the other day that showed massive pluses but also massive negatives for Tottenham.

Tottenham have had the MOST SHOTS in the PL>

but have the least goals to shots ratio(infact even a few percentage below Palace)

AVB is doing something right- but its just this stubbornness to keep playing soldado. Thats it!!

Well I watched the game and while the result is exceptional, a three points that makes up for the ones they lost last week, their performance was average at best. Defensively they were good but were rarely threatened, Liverpool didn't even have a shot on goal until the free kick goal, it was very much a matter of Hull just sitting back and letting Liverpool struggle without any creativity. Attacking-wise they essentially had one tactic and that was boot it up to Sagbo and hope he could hold it up and it rarely worked, all three of their goals came from poor defending rather than good attacking.

The result flatters Hull, but also flatters Liverpool who are lucky they were only up against Hull with that performance.

Tottenham have had 217 attempts and 9 goals(that may be before today)

compared to citeh that has had 204 shots and 34 goals.

Now i have noticed something - its not all soldados fault, Townsend has actually had more shots than him but only scored 1 goal in 40 odd!(clearly the majority of them outside the box!)

What a league this is gonna be this year. Hard to call a winner, hard to call the top four (although I think three are nailed on) and then its gonna be interesting to see how clubs like Newcastle and Southampton stick around in the higher reaches.

Oh, there's the block of teams down the bottom who all look like making cases to get relegated. Stoke, Palace, Fulham and Sunderland can all at different periods claim to have been the worst team in the league, with Norwich and West Ham not far off. Cardiff have picked up famous points but really not moving anywhere, whilst Villa and Hull will probably get involved in the scrap.

Good to see that West Brom have stuck an r in the middle of that "boing boing"

Well tbh I talked down hull yesterday- They proved me wrong today.

The bottom 3 is going to be tight for 2 at least- It could be a number of teams

Sandro what a ping!!!!

Hull vs Liverpool now.

Hull 1-2 Liverpool i recon.
Shows you how refereeing decisions have implications.............Shouldn't have been playing !!
Exactly, again since Rooney was let off of the most obvious red-card of the season he has gone on to score 3 goals and assisted a goal. If the rules were applied to Rooney fairly he would not have been playing either of the last two matches. That gift from the official basically helped United to not one but two undeserved points. People argued with me up and down that the red card had no implication on the result, with RVP injured, if you take Rooney off this team the rest of the them are not that impressive and have not been impressive all season long.
