Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
After a great start to the season, Spurs challenge for a top four place, is faltering badly.
Man City are a strange team - when they win they tend to win big, but then they lose / draw away to low budget teams (sunderland, aston villa, drawing with stoke).

Absolutely appalling from Spurs today. Going forward they don't look like creating chances. Dembele the bright spark once he came on, Lamela was rubbish just dribbled into trouble. Big problems for Spurs atm, wonder how long AVB will be given. Aguero for me today just showed he's the best striker in the league at the moment, closely followed by Suarez.

Earlier in the season when Spurs were doing well many were saying AVB was brilliant, now they have a sticky patch, and many are saying AVB has to go (but who to replace him with?). Spurs are still just two points from a top four place.

Spurs were shocking. Criminal display. Defence all over the place, particularly Dawson, and the midfield nowhere to be seen. City only had to play OK to take advantage of the sizeable gaps in the Spurs defence.

Rooney shouldve been given his marching orders then the moron
Gutted Carrick is out for so long, don't think I can put up with Fellaini while he's out, Fellaini is what the French call les incompetent

So that is what 100 million pounds worth of Poopie looks like, AVB is a terrible manager he doesn't know what he is doing. Defoe is better than Nogoaldo and Adebayor combined yet he keeps picking those two boobs. Is defoe injured? I don't really pay attention much unless they are playing Arsenal. Well at least we know that Champion's league is out of the question for Spurs.

I've never been a fan. Couldn't break the top four even with the hottest player in the league, and has brought a 25 million pound striker who doesn't suit his system one bit.Nore Staat wrote:Earlier in the season when Spurs were doing well many were saying AVB was brilliant, now they have a sticky patch, and many are saying AVB has to go (but who to replace him with?). Tottenham should of gone full out for Benteke. Remy would of been a great signing as well. Soldado wasn't the player.

I agree Myst but AVB obviously doesn't rate him highly enough.
Got an inkling he'll wind up back at Upton Park.

I can't see Tottenham letting him go through..
Even of he hardly plays I am sure the manager and Board realise he is the only back up they have..if this soldado thing doesn't pay off then what else do they have as back up?

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
That's a shocking result for Tottenham, but totally against their recent form barring the 1-0 loss to Newcastle. They've had a decent start and people shouldn't jump to conclusions because of this result, no matter how awful. I expect them still to challenge for top four. I don't think AVB has bought particularly badly, just players that need more time to settle, poor choice to buy so many all from foreign leagues, but I still think most will come good.
Tottenham have just got to not let the result get to them and move on, Arsenal lost 8-2 to Manchester United and still managed to get top 4.

But if it does click they will overtake Arsenal- because they could virtually go unbeaten from here on in

Only radio commentary today (which incidentally is an abysmal way to experience football, they all think they are pundits and don't describe the action).
Sounds like fellaini and cleverly was the worst midfield combination in recent history.
Undone all the good work in beating arsenal.

You can say that again. Terrible! That was a shocker from Fergie saving Cleverley`s career & Moyes judgement on bringing Fellaini to the club! Embarrassing duo!Ent wrote:Sounds like fellaini and cleverly was the worst midfield combination in recent history.

Et we were terrible, shouldve been worse as well as Rooney shouldve been sent off before he scored
Fellaini and cleverly are terrible, I don't think a league 2 team would lose sleep over facing these two, let alone a prem team
Far too many squad players for me and not enough starting quality. Major investment needed im afraid but knowing United they'll probably just throw tens of millions at a team with an average player because he's got premier league experience

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread
Don't mind where we are as long as we are living up to our potential or aiming towards something.
03/06 was shocking at times but at times there was some great football and you could see fergie trying to build a new team.
Now it's just moyes picking rubbish teams that play terrible football and get average results. Were defending champions and have spent £27 million in our weak area, should be doing a lot better.
