The Culture Cup round 6
First topic message reminder :
I'm not really a London person. Occasionally Putney or Clapham to see mates or Lords for the cricket.
If Georgian food is anything like Estonian fayre I may give it a miss.
Galted wrote:seanmichaels wrote:Galted wrote:Decided to treat myself to a 3-piece variety meal but the Wrap-It-Up is between work & the KFC so you can probably imagine what happened.
Your Hi-Techs started to squeek?
Probably but I was too hungry to notice. Almost broke into a run as I approached the Wrap-It-Up.
Have you ever been to Tamada by the way? Georgian restaurant off Abbey Road. Went there for my birthday and found no reason to complain.

Question for you, Rick.
You're a man of the North. A man of Cheshire like myself, no less.
Have you ever p*ssed in a sink?

Why is rick only a man of the North and not a Man of the North?

Depending on his answer, then I may elevate him to a Man of the North.

Yes i have Tino though (in my eyes) a necessity as i woke up at a strange (student during uni) house and didnt want to wake whoever was upstairs or the lass next to me on the couch so went in the sink.
I had the good grace to remove the crockery first though, and replace later, and ran the tap.
though with the state of the plates, a bit of urine would not have mattered i suspect...
Any maybe once in a hotel when drunk...
I have no good reason for this

Me neither, but it has made me happy.
I especially enjoyed the part about removing the crockery. Even under severe duress you still managed to maintain some class.

As I've said before, lashing in a sink is not a defining trait of a northerner. A southern, cambridge educated barrister, lashed in my sink without removing the crockery.

My old housemate shat on the front doorstep.
He had already walked about 2 miles home from the pub but couldn't be bothered to open the door and walk the last few yards to the toilet so he just curled one out on the step.

Said the bogs were that disgusting. Apparently the urinals needed to be as well.

I had a similar predicament a few years back walking home from the station after a day at the boozer. Knowing the missus was away and I could dispose of the evidence without her knowledge, I decided to just dump my pants. Surprisingly liberating feeling.

He is my hero.
He once asked me if a surgeon could ever transplant voice boxes into fruit or trees, then could they eventually start to talk. He asked it with complete sincerity as well.
Seriously, he was the thickest person I have ever met. He paid half my rent for 2 years before he realised.
He now runs a very successful drilling business in the North West.

If I asked you nicely to spell arthropod correctly, would you do it?
But yes, they do sound rather exciting.

Should there be a comma between chicken and duck? Or was it sushi derived from a chicken that has been breeding with a duck?

Maybe so but you don't get the annoying crunching and bits of peel stuck between your teeth if you have it in Smoothie form.

£7.99 is rather a lot for lunch? I'm about to go to the supermarket as I plan to cook vietnamese pork loin with a noodle salad this evening. I'll be disappointed if I have to spend more than £8 on that (excl £5.38 for 8 x cans of morrison's oen dry cider).

Was a bit rash but am off the lager for January so figured it's ok every once in a while. Still owe myself a KFC 3-piece variety.
8 cans of cider is a bit much isn't it? I'd suggest 2 cans plus 5 cans of Bud plus a Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer.

I'd suggest 2 cans plus 5 cans of Bud plus a Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer.
probably be 5 or 6 then a couple of glasses of red. applying for a job in london tonight so need my wits about me.
