We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
Well, as I started one for the Championship, it seems now is the time for the Premier League 2014/15 thread to begin!
We have all our teams, with Leicester, Burnley and QPR replacing Cardiff, Fulham and Norwich. Can City retain, can United break into the top four, how will Liverpool cope with Champions League football. All this and more can be discussed as we see how the transfers, the rumours, the World Cup and everything else make an impact on the Premier League before it all kicks off?
I'll open it up...the Telegraph, Sky Sports and others report Pochettino is top of Spurs' shortlist and could be unveiled in the next week. Thoughts? Sounds the perfect fit to me. Some suggesting he'll bring Rodriguez with him, although that sounds like immediate clutching to me.

Looks like Tim Sherwood is the man for Albion. Might move stands so I'm behind the dugout just in case. Will have to get a gilet on order as well!

FABREGAS TO CHELSEA!!
WOW ...Arsenal also turned down first option on him...odd move on their behalf as they are in need of at least 4 players to really have the depth to mount a serious and sustained challenge.
Chelsea looking immense for next year...with Cech apparently set to depart for Courtois...
Courtois
Ivanovic Terry Cahill Azpil
Ramires Fabregas
Willian Oscar Hazard
Costa

Liverpool being linked with Max Meyer is encouraging. I'd rather take a punt on him then splash £25mill on Lallana

West Brom appoint Alan Irvine as head coach on a 12 month deal, after Tim Sherwood turned down the role. An underwhelming appointment made on the same day as the England match looks like trying to bury bad news.

Well that is the single most WBA move of all time
What on earth is that appointment?!? He's a failed Championship/league one manager!! Chris hughton would've been better than him!!!

West Brom want a coach rather than manager. They also don't want to pay for one. Would've loved McClaren I suspect

Ronald Koeman agreed a three-year deal to replace Maurizio Pochettino as Southampton manager.
He did a really good job revitalising Feyenoord, so seems to have the right pedigree for the Saints job.

Not surprising. Doubt we'll spend the amount required to strengthen a really depleted squad that scraped through last season based on the fact that there were three teams worse than us.
I wanted Moyes Obviously couldn't afford him. Or his assistant Steve Round. So went for his old assistant. I'm going to wake up in a minute, this was all a nightmare and Moyes is going to be at the press conference Wednesday with his blue and white scarf next to our new billionaire Arab owner

Just the most epic appointment of the premier league era. You can't get more west Brom than this appointment. Announced in the middle of a world cup game, a guy who is crap and cheap, just gloriously mundane.
I can't help but smile

Think we've appointed him on the back of how he's done in his work with the academy at Everton. Can't think of any other club who'd give the head coach job to a bloke just because he's had success with some youth teams...oh wait.

Hull at home.
Well, hello again Premier League.
Still, only here for 9 months I suppose, unless we somehow sneak 17th!
